It is a myth that one 'should' bleed during the first intercourse. Hymen is a thin membrane that covers the vagina. It may or may not be present at birth. In some women, the hymen only has some tiny openings through which menstrual blood can escape, but in others, the hymen is just a rim of tissue. Sometimes it just folds naturally along the walls of the vagina. Not every virgin has a kind of hymen that could appear to "pop" with her first act of intercourse. It may get broken without one's knowledge while doing certain activities such as some sports or athletics. It may also get broken if one masturbates or uses tampons. If it is unbroken, a little bleeding may take place at the first intercourse, however it cannot be regarded as a test of one's virginity. Bleeding may not happen in a virgin girl if the hymen is absent since birth or it is ruptured without her knowledge during sports etc.

It all depends on the person. What actually happens is that there is this piece of tissue called the hymen that circles the opening. For many women, during their first time the hymen tears. The amount of blood depends on the woman. Some women have very flexible hymen, or are born without one so it never tears, others have very tight hymen which tear and could result in a bit more blood. Typically there isn't much blood and it heals easily like a cut and there is no need to worry. As with anything excessive bleeding should be brought to the attention of a medical professional (but I mean excessive hemoraging which is VERY VERY rare).

you probably should've put it under women's health, but I don't think it'll get deleted.
It varies, but it's not a HUGE amount. Less than a period. What do you do with it? Ha ha... well, you could hang the sheet out the window... (kidding, of course) I think I would just wash it out of the sheet afterward. Using cold water.
It happens because the hymen (skin over vaginal opening) tears. This doesn't happen to every woman. Sometimes the hymen is gone by the time she finally has sex. You can bleed for other reasons, though, including not being lubricated enough, which can come from being nervous from your first time. So you see, there's plenty to worry about. :-)
Make sure he uses a lubricated condom, and have some extra KY jelly which will help.

The blood comes from the breaking of the hymen. The hymen is a thin layer of tissue in the vaginal wall. When his penis penetrates your vagina it will break the hymen which causes the bleeding. The bleeding is very little and it usually ends up on the sheets. If he knows that you are a virgin then I would suggest putting a towel underneath you so you don't ruin the sheets and it will be easier to wash.

Honestly, it depends on your body. Everyones body is different. For some girls it doesnt hurt at all and for others its painful. But it wont last for long! As for the blood part, once again it depends on your body. Some bleed a lot and others dont. It's natural and when it does happen just wash your sheets after or something. Its not really a big deal because its expected. Hope this helps a little bit!

not much at all, its like your spotting for 5 minutes, it happens becasue theres a thin layer of skin in the hole that your born with that has a small amount of blood in it, upon penitration the layer of tissue breaks causing the bleeding. you dont need to do anything with it, its not enough to gush out and gross you out, just have a box of klenex near bye

It is just broken tissue. You'd better not be one of those liberals that go around having sex as a teen!
