And we are really behind on our bills, like we still owe PROPERTY taxes from last year (3,000) and are barely near paying them off. I'm scared they will sell our house in a tax sale, is there anything we can do?!

Contact the County Tax assessors office and see if they can work with you, Or call the Dept of Social Services to see if they can provide assistance

I don't think they will take it for being behind a year. Plus, I think if you are trying to make payments or arrangements, that will buy you time. You should call and ask questions - they should have some answers for you. Also, check around your city for help. Maybe a cancer organization or a social group that helps out in hard times. Sell the house BEFORE a tax sale is necessary.

im really sorry for your mom!!! My grandpa has cancer and i know how it must feel. I guess the only thing i can think of to do is sell the house, before the bank gets it. I hope everything goes well.
