what makes a 69 mustang a cobra mustang? can you you make a non cobra mustang a cobra? how? also was there ever a coupe cobra? what makes them special? what was the top speed of a 69 non gt coupe?

You must be talking about the Cobra jets, big 428 ci and lots of horse power. you could get them in the Mach 1, sports roofs and coupes. It didn't have to be a Shelby to have a Cobra Jet, but all Shelbys had a Cobra Jet. The best was the Super Cobra Jet with Drag Pack

Top speed was around 150 mph and only aero limited

There was not a "Cobra" mustang for 1969 , did you mean "Shelby" . There were some major changes in the 69&70 shelbys , the biggest being the fiberglass front end that didnt look like a mustangs .

there was no 69 mustang cobra, there was a 69 shelby gt350 and gt500 mustang but no cobra. what made them special was that they were prepaired and modified by carrol shelbys team. 69 non gt coupe top speed? unclear, std mustang? what engine?

There were Shelby GT500's with a Cobra jet engine. In fact, there also were 1970 Shelby's, that were actually 1969's that they just changed the numbers on and sold as 1970 models.
