Okay, I have recieved answers minutes ago about a suicidal friend. The answer seems to be to not be afraid to be admitted into a hospital. Does anyone have a referral to a place in Houston, Texas where my friend can seek treatment with no insurance and no money for medical treatment? PLEASE HELP!

The Emergency Room. They cannot refuse treatment if the individual has no money or insurance.

Take your friend to the county hospital ASAP. Tell them what he has told you concerning him being a danger to himself. They should keep him for observation for a couple of days. To get him committed for long term treatment you may need to go to a justice of the peace to get him committed if he refuses treatment. Just do it, you may save his life.

this is a crisis hotline in Houston.
Your friend should not worry about money as no hospital ER is allowed to turn someone away for lack of funds. the money should not be a reason to delay.

You need to contact your local mental health center, usually state or county run, and usually on a sliding fee scale, i.e. free to those with no money no insurance.

You should really clam down. You just need to talk to your friend and tell him or her that he/she should talk to his/her parents about this and have them look for a place and if your friend can't do that them maybe You and your friend should go to counseling together and talk with them and just keep looking for a place in nearby to go to. Go to suicide.com website they have some info for your situation with your friend.
