The old testament has everything! From incest (Genesis 19:31-6), rape (Judges 19:25-6), gruesome murder, of the rape victim (Judges 19:29) and downright genocide, (Numbers 31: 18 & Joshua 6:21) Read it for yourself.
And you claim to get your morals from this book? How can these attrocites give you any insight on right and wrong. Of course reading these we already know right from wrong, which means morality does not come from this book.

All the incidents you mentioned happened for a reason. There was a point to those stories. Some stories like that of Sodom and Gomorrah, Lot and his daughters are meant to show what bad behavior looks like. They in no way encourage that type of behavior.
How can tell someone what is right/good to do if you do not tell then what is wrong/bad to do?

If it had only good stories and happy endings, no human failures, would you believe it? Not me. The new testament is how we are suppose to behave. The old testament is what happens when we don't. We read about it so we don't make the same mistakes they made.
