I have pertty good skin (ocasional pimple etc.) but what else should I do for it. Heres what I do

Morning: face lotion, sunscreen

Night: take off eye makeup (only makeup I wear)

I always hear people talking about facials, and exfoliating, and cleaning their skin every night

(P.s. all the acme scrubs I've tried over dry my face)

1)morning:add this to your list, Apply yogurt on the face every morning. Wash it off after a few minutes with cold water. This will keep the complexion smooth, healthy and fresh. A mixture of yogurt and lemon juice is ideal for softening hands
2)Night:after taking off eye makeup put on a mask ..if you dont have one and have time make your own mask:Natural Beauty Mask
Ingredients
1 tablespoon of gram flour
1/4 teaspoon orange peel powder
1 tablespoon beaten yogurt
1 teaspoon olive oil
Mix the ingredients well and apply the paste to your face and neck. Let it remain till the skin starts feeling a little dry and then rub your face with your hands till it glows.
Wash your face first with warm water and then with cold water. This will remove all the embarrassing blemishes from the skin and make the skin soft and smooth.
...and once a week try this:Grate or blend a cucumber. Apply this over the face, eyes and neck for 15 to 20 minutes. It is a great tonic for the facial skin. Regular use of cucumber prevents pimples, blackheads, wrinkles, and dryness of the face...this way you can use the acne scrubs and not worry about your skin over drying since you can just moisturize your skin and not have acne..remeber to drink plenty of water..this keeps your skin hydrated

I suggest that you cleanse your face at night when you take off your makeup. Your skin produces oil and there is dirt on your skin from the environment, from touching your face with your hands, cell phone, etc... After your night time cleansing, moisturize again. You can use the same moisturizer that you use in the morning, but you won't need the sunscreen at night. You'll notice a big difference in your skin by adding that extra cleanse & moisture to your skin.

If you want to use an exfoliator to remove dead skin cells and get a deep, pore cleanse, I suggest a non-acne fighting scrub. Aveeno makes a good one called daily brightening scrub and I have been using it. Just use it once or twice a week because exfoliating can have a drying effect on your skin if you use it too often.

Good job for taking responsibility for your skin. You're helping make the world a more beautiful place! :-)

Hugs,
Tami

With all my pregnancies, everything swelled, face, ankles, feet. It just comes with pregnancy. Hopefully you are fortunate enough after the child comes, to lose a little in the hospital, and get back on the train ti normalville. With my last pregnancy, I lost 45 pounds over 4 days in the hospital, and 20 lbs before the child came. I have no idea what I have gained with this one, but I hope to lose some weight after the c-section on the 27th.

Sounds like your doing some good things you could try a serum or retinol for younger looking skin. Plus if you use either of those you don't really need exfoliators. go to this website they have licenced estheticians that can answer your questions.

Seems like you are in good shape. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

A few of my favorite products:

Desert Essence Blemish Stick for spot treatment

Avon Microdermabrasion Scrub or Murad AHA/BHA face wash for exfoliation.

try getting a scrub that is less for acne, and more for just clean skin/pores because the acne stuff is meant more for drying out pimples and it can really dry out your skin. also, when you wash your face, try not to scrub your face that hard just rub your face gently until it feels cleen, don't scrub/scrub hard.
