I can't stand rap music but it doesn't make me cringe

No they are not possessed. I've been a worship leader for 5 years and there is TONS of "christian" music that still makes me cringe.

I grew up on Zeppelin and Hendrix, and have given guitar lessons for 8 years, so it is very hard for me to find bands that keep my attention in the Christian genre.

They need to listen to Third Day, or the Steven Brack Band.

It's actually really good music too, and I'm not just saying that because it's about God. The quality is great.

Country music makes me cringe. Does that mean I'm possessed by the demons of Appalachia?

No. A boil hurts like heck when you try to lance it but, it's the only way to release poison. It is much the same. If they were to continue listening it might do something for them.

i'm an atheist, yet i recognize Skillet. I also love Godsmack, Korn, Disturbed, Jethro Tull, ZZ proper and Queen. So, I say in basic terms pay interest to what sounds sturdy or speaks to you.

No, it just sucks. I cringe the same way when I hear Fall Out Boy.

Don't be ignorant. Saying things like this is just childish.(NOT child-like, there is a big difference)

No, it's a product of a functioning set of aesthetics.
