as long as they're in the bottle with your name and dr's name on them you're good. in fact, you should always have your scripts in your carry on, just in case your checked luggage gets lost.

Yup, but make ure your name is on the bottle and it is properly labled and to be safe get a copy of the prescription. Also, just to be safe, esp if it is a pain med or a steroid, make sure it isn't illegal. That probably won't be an issue in NZ, but some countries would consider certian prescription meds (like tylenol 3 which contains codiene) illegal drugs.

I have just found that it depends on what kind you are taking. I am on Methdone for a severe chronic spine condition. I just went for my vaccinations as I am going to Bolivia and while there my doctor told me he needed to write a note. It says that he has prescribed this medicine for me and why. He said to fold it up and keep it in the labeled bottle. He said if I don't they could take it as it is a very strong narcotic and that I would be more apt to have a problem in a developing country as Bolivia.Check to make sure would be the best advice.

You can check with the FAA or the specific airline about this subject. When I travelled recently, I brought my prescription and packed my syringes in my carry on bag. I had no issues, security didn't even ask to see my paperwork.

Take them in the original prescription container and you should be just fine.

Yes.

The TSA website has lists and instructions on what you can and cannot take on planes.
