I am familiar with them. Di Vinci speakers are not made by the same company that manufactures Da Vinci rock speakers. They are considered what is known as "white van" speakers. White van speakers are speakers of very low quality that are sold to the public as though they were high quality speakers for sale at an unbelievable value. The sale price, however, always turns out to be far higher than the speakers are worth. Many white van speaker companies are owned by the same people. They ALL have impressive websites that make them look like a true high end company. They NEVER allow you to listen to the speakers before you buy them. They are always sold in a high pressure, buy now or never environment like eBay or a parking lot (out of vans). Every time they are mentioned on Yahoo Answers some mysterious answerer will say how great a deal they are and provide a link to the manufacturers bogus website. Please read the links below and NEVER buy speakers you have not listened to and read reviews of in reputable magazines.

The only legitimate make of speakers I know of are Stereostone. Often when I see people questioning a brand of speakers they have never heard of it's because they were approached by someone offering to sell "overstock" speakers out of the back of a white van. New "brands" keep popping up but the story stays the same. The guys say they've made all their deliveries but they have extras of their $2000 speakers but will take $600 for the set. In reality they pay $100 for the speakers and keep the rest. The speakers do not sell in any stores and the brochures they show will verify claims that the speakers are legit. The boxes even have a $2000 price tag on them. If you have been so approached I wouldn't go for the deal but the speakers do work but are overpriced unless you get them for $200 or less.
All that being said there are many many brands of legit speakers that most people have never heard of (usually sold in high end boutique or mom and pop shops) If you need more information look at the back of the speakers. The model number or name should be there and you can look it up specifically. Good Luck

I would suggest Hsu Research, BIC Acoustech, KEF (spekaers, not subs), or even Radiient before DiVinci is considered. SDAT is another company like DiVinci that, although is legitimate (as opposed to "white van" speaker scams), but is more into marketing through sellers on eBay and the like over pure value. Looks are better than the sound -that's why the price is so low. It's more of a marketing project than value.

DiVinci is one of the "White Van Scam" systems. (Search google for "White Van Scam" for details). Toss the stuff. It will probably over-heat a normal receiver or catch fire and burn your house down.
