Use ice to numb the pain for fifteen minutes at a time. Do this several times a day.

You need to speak to the surgeon and ask what can be done to stop the pain you are experiencing. There is no reason for you to continue feeling this way when there is medical help available. You just have to make it clear that you are in unbearable pain to get their attention.

The reason for the numbness and pain may be due to swelling. Try icing it at night. If the pain does not get better within 5 days of surgery you should talk to your doctor. Most people who have carpal tunnel surgery immediatly no longer have the numbness anymore. So maybe you might have to have a repeat carpal tunnel release again.

The purpose of the release is to get rid of the numbness and pain-why are you still having these? Botched surgery? The transverse carpal ligament which is supposed to be cut is still probably intact thereby still causing those symptoms. Better have a good talk with your doctor.
