no...biblical myth...

No. Most people have 24 (12 pairs).

About 5 per cent of people have 22 (11 pairs), and some have 26 or even 28 ribs.

Being male or female doesn't make any difference to your chances of having an unusual rib count.

I can only hope that our education system has taught people better than to believe that.

No, men do not have one less rib. Even if the Bible story were true, that in no way indicates men would have one less rib, as Adam had to have that rib to begin with and his DNA would code for it.

If I had a rib removed, would my children be missing a rib when they were born. Adam was short a rib for the creation of Eve. Their children, I am sure had the right number.

No. We are to all have the same amount. But funny enough, I had an MRi done several yrs ago on my head and neck and upper chest and was told that I have one extra rib on my left side in my neck. It's 2 inches long. Weird.

Not unless the man broke one off or something.

Adam was the only one who was mising a rib, and even then, God didn't say He took the thing out and never put it back, He just said He made her from Adams rib.

When i was in India in Varanasi, Hindu's would cremate their dead and throw their ashes in the Holy Ganges. When a mans body was cremated all that was left was his ribs, when a woman was cremated all that was left was her pelvis. I know this is not answering your question precisely, but it reminded me of this. Interesting huh!
But i have no clue about who has more ribs!!!
