I went to a concert that my drum teacher was playing last night, but he was acting very awkward and strange. He had asked me to come and told me about it several times beforehand, and he and I have a friendly relationship that is different from most students and teachers. I've been taking lessons with him for almost 2 years and he's only 9 yrs older than I am (I'm 19, he's 28). When I saw him after the show, he gave me a hug and then I introduced him to my friend and he ignored her presence for the rest of the time. I talked to him a bit, but he was acting weird and being awkward with everyone. He didn't introduce people by name, which was strange. I was a little confused and frustrated, so when he said he needed to go start packing up his drums, I started to leave, and he said "wait, are you leaving?" and then said "make sure you come say bye to me before you go, I'll be on stage." We stayed a bit longer while he was packing, but he kept glancing over at me every minute or so.

I thought it was weird because he didn't seem to want to talk to me, yet he seemed like he was happy I was there or something. He had previously gotten upset because at his last show, I hadn't stayed after to talk to him. After I was frustrated enough, I decided it was time to go (I stayed after for about an hour) and as we were walking towards the stage, he decided to acknowledge my presence again and scream my name from the stage. After that, I was really confused and just said I was leaving and that was the end. I just don't understand why he was acting like this after he wanted me to come and was confused/upset why I hadn't come to say hi to him after his last show. Any insight would help. thanks

I think he has a bad case of nerves he wants to talk to you hes working hisself up when he tells you to wait but hes feels akward about it due to the past history you have with himgo by and see him when hes not scheduled for a concert or when he is relaxing... ask what he has planned then show up and say i was bored thought i would come by and check how you were

Maybe he was stoned?

Playing a gig is a hard thing and has emotional energy all its own that is expended and a person "comes down from" a good set.

Hope you can resolve this dilemma. I think perhaps other 'dates' to other places (if that what it looks like would be good for the two of you) would be a good idea if he is thinking of you as a g/f. Otherwise he is just showing off and that can be boring for all concerned.

well my friend this could be many things to be honest i think he might be shy by the sounds of it he is and i myself have gotten really shy around my gfs friends mainly because you want to be a nice guy but you dont want to make yourself look like an arss maybe he was overwelmed by you being there and just couldnt think of what to do or say some guys get like that when the girl they like is around they lock up iv done at times and trust me its hard to unlock yourself from it as for him being upset for you no coming to say good bye at his last concert that could be another sign that he likes you maybe he wants to tell you something or do something maybe a kiss you never know but look its hard not to get frustrated with him but be open minded with him if he likes you and theres a high chance he does chances are he likes you so much he wouldnt know what to do or he as i said before "locks up" so my best bet is to when you talk to him next ask him if he feels strongly about you and i guess try to make him comfy around you trust me when a guy is comfortable around a girl thats when the true self shows because he dosent have to worry about what you or friends might think if to him he stuffs something up or says the wrong thing so be open minded with him give him a chance and you might see some feelings come to you you never thought you would see good ones to so i hope this helps and good luck

Maybe he was just confused and nervous are just to concentrated on his show that he didn't know what to say.JOKE with him a little and saw why you be acting like that when I come to your show like you don't want to see me saw you never talk to me or introduce your friends.Make sure u say it smiling so that you don't piss him off or he might think that your acting immature he likes you but maybe it is how he gets when he is sos involved in one thing...SMILE...he will understand sweetie...

I think he likes you, but because he is your teacher, he's a little cautious. So I would just step back, and look at the big picture, and see where he takes it from here; just be careful, be VERY careful.

Yup, i think he is interested. If you aren't interested, make it clear it to him when the next 'confusing' moment arrive. Try to say it indirectly so that he can get it without awkwardness though sadness will be inevitable.

I think he might be interested in you and was upset that you brought someone else along. He might even be conflicted that he likes you at all, student/teacher, age difference, etc.

I would stay away from him, I mean if I were a man. To us -women- might be obvious what´s going on with him,,, He has mistaking your friendship.
