i mean no offence, but i cannot understand why can people in the u.s get used to these news and not do a thing to stop it. I live in Spain and i find it amazing that you just feel shocked about it but dont do a thing...Dont you think that if people hadn´t such an easy accest to guns those terrible events would stop???
I mean it is much more difficult to kill 30 people with a knife than with a gun.
And as regards the protection right, why dont you ask for protection to your government??? it is its duty.
does the right of the virginia killer to protect himself comes before the lives of people????
I am terribly sorry about that event and i feel angry when i see that people dont do a thing to stop it.
no guns = no massive manslaughter...if you cannot see that i will be sadly amazed

Same thing happened in Australia and they banned automatic weapons. I doubt America will because of lobbyists. Some argue that we should have even less restrictions on gun control but I think it's absurd to give everyone a gun and then expect them to risk their lives to bring someone down and at the same time risk shooting an innocent person.

It's not the guns. Even if guns were outlawed in the US(which, that will never happen), people would simply find other means of committing these horrible crimes. What I ponder more than anything is the human heart; the human mind. If criminals and whackos glowed in the dark, all of us would rest alot better at night. But they don't. It's not going to get any better until that which ails the hearts and minds of such people is somehow identified and dealt with before they commit such carnage. Do you know of anyone capable of assuming such an enormous task? Am I pissed off that these precious lives were so senslessly taken from among us? Yes. Yes, indeed. But my anger and disbelief is not going to bring them back to us. Just pick up whatever pieces are left and struggle on. I personally hope that the clown who did this see's the faces of all his victims every time he closes his eyes, and that he literally goes insane from it. He'll take their blood to his judgement day on his hands.

What do you think we are gonna do? I assume that you think we Americans can read minds??? Tragedy such as this will always take people by surprise because it's beyond what most of us think about mankind. We generally like to think about the good in people and not the fact that someone can commit such a murderous rampage as in Virginia. No one can ever guess that this will happen or where it will happen. If we could we would do all that is possible to stop it. The people who commit this type of murder don't usually brag about what they are about to do or discuss strategies with another person. I think that you have a misconstrued view of America and what it means to live in a state of freedom.

God we could Pat try this, by way of fact maximum folk do no longer rather understand the Bible. The Bible isn't that reliable, and in case you get sucked-in via Pat, then you definately may be a fool and your money might bypass to Pat and God might chuckle. maximum religions are according to "Blind faith" meaning which you purely have confidence the priest and that's that. The books approximately Jesus and Islam and a few Hindu books and Zen and Buddha are actually not very clean and so human beings incredibly must be slightly smarter approximately those products and not have confidence the words to be the "reality" for all time. might you think each and every thing you examine interior the newspaper or the internet? of course no longer, so why have self assurance a team of holy books that for sure can no longer all be correct, like certainly one of them has to have the story incorrect! Pat makes money from peoples' loss of information (yet he would be going to hell sometime)

Because this country was based upon the fact that if need be, we can overtake our government. We gave ourselves the right to bear arms.

So what would you do in your country if the leaders suddenly decided to become a dictatorship? How would you fight back if they are the only ones with guns?

We know you don't understand it and we don't expect you to believe as we do, but this country won it's battle against Britain precisely because we were all armed. Here in Texas we won the land against the Mexicans to the south and the Commanche Indians to the north because we were all armed.

Tis our right to do so, whether it leads to good or bad.

Here in America there is a powerful lobby called the National Rifle Association that fights every effort to limit public access to guns. The NRA has suppressed every law proposed to limit the ownership of guns. You are incorrect in your assumption that all Americans believe in the right to bear arms and that no one is opposed to the current laws. Nor does the majority always rule in this country. Whoever has the most money wins the battle here. The NRA has the most money so they prevail. .

If no guns means no mass killings, what happened in Madrid in 2004? As I remember, the Spanish response was to capitulate to the murderers. That's not my idea of doing something about it.
I live in the USA. I can tell you that in the areas where more people own guns, these massacres do not happen. When somebody wants to kill a lot of people without being stopped, he wants them to be defenseless.

I'm not going to do anything about it. It doesn't relate to me. Do you know what the British military did once their invasion of the American colonies began? They sought to confiscate all the weapons of the colonists. If you take away the guns of the people, you can impose any atrocity on them that you want. But if you have a country of one hundred million armed citizens, the government will be much more reluctant to do anything that vigorously crosses your rights.

I will buy some Kevlar.

Guns are banned in England except for hunting rifles, yet the IRA managed to make good bombs to kill shoppers in downtown London and crooks manage to get guns to use in crimes, to the point where the English Police are asking to become armed.

When you ban guns, you just ban good honest citizens from getting them, not crooks and gang members.

Gang members in Los Angeles use totally illegal weapons. AK47s. No one is allowed to have one of those in the US legally.

If somebody wants to get their hands on a gun, then they can...it doesn't really matter whether its allowed or not. It doesn't really matter if you try to take guns away because the "bad guys" can still get them and do bad things with them. By taking the guns away, you're just leaving the "good guys" without equal protection.
