Try drinking a little coffee or coke, something with caffeine. Eating some chocolate might help. Take an aspirin or two if you can tolerate aspirin ok. Lie down in a quiet, dark room with a cool cloth on your head.

Tylenol is not the best medication for a headache. I have been a migraine sufferer for 40 years, so believe me I know. A combination drug of aspirin, acetaminophen (Tylenol) and caffeine is the best proven OTC medication for a headache. Commonly known as Excedrin or Vanquish (if you can find it), I always have it on hand.
Because you have already taken Tylenol, you need to wait at least 4 hours before you take another dose. I would do as Sawyer suggested and make sure you are well hydrated and have eaten just in case those are the causes of your headache. You could also drink some tea, coffee or caffeinated soda.
Relax or take a nap; if in 4 hours your headache has not subsided, get yourself some Excedrin. You will find relief.

It takes a while to get rid of. But are you sure it's not sinuses, because if your headache isn't going away with just plain tylenol, it could be a sinus headache, that's if it's hurting more in your forehead are anywhere in your sinus areas, so if your headache doesn't go away at all with that try taking some advil cold and sinus if that's what it is, it works really well.

Try sitting in a dark and quiet room, drink something or eat something....you may need to just give the tylenol a little more time....but you shouldn't take anymore meds for at least 4-6 hours.

I find peppermint oil is a true wonder to help ease and even stop headaches.
You rub several drops on the back of your neck and can help when you are waiting for medication to kick in or use it instead of pills. I was a skeptic when I first used it, but now I never go anywhere without it.

It generally takes about 60 minutes for Tylenol to work. The fastest over the counter med is BC powders. They work quicker b/c you place the powder under the tongue, where it is absorbed by the blood vessels under there.

Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at

You need to take Advil or Excedrin. I suffer from migraines and Tylenol NEVER works!!!! You need something to target the inflammation. You need a pain reliever with aspirin or ibuprofen.

Take a big drink of water.
If you still have a headache in another half hour, try either eating...some caffeine, or try an allergy pill.
If all that fails, take 2 motrin or advil (ibuprofen).
