A United States Marine was attending some college courses between assignments. He had completed missions in Iraq and Afghanistan .One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist and a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, "God, if you are real, then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 minutes."

The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, "Here I am God. I'm still waiting."

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-****** him knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold.
The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently.

The other students were shocked and stunned and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to,noticeably shaken, looked at
the Marine and asked,......

"What is the matter with you? Why did you do that?"

The Marine calmly replied, "God was too busy today protecting America 's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid crap...and act like an idiot............

..So, He sent me."

Very Nice Story :D ..... I love it ..... now I understand why Muslims has Jihad warriors .... it is something like what the marine did, self proposed justification to hit someone under the name of an imaginary creature.

So a normal Christian and Fanatic Muslim does not have much difference, do they? This makes the moderate Muslim looks like an angel.

(Anyway, I was in the Army before I left. I am not in the US army, but I had worked with US Marines and they are very disciplined and well mannered, a little rough on the edges, but a true gentleman, no doubt. This cannot possibility happen. If it does happen, I can assure you, the marine would had been court martial and discharged for assaulting a civilian. I can assure you also, a professor would not be this stupid to do such thing)

"I'm also mindful that man should never try to put words in God's mouth. I mean, we should never ascribe natural disasters or anything else, to God. We are in no way, shape, or form should a human being, play God."—Appearing on ABC's 20/20, Washington D.C., Jan. 14, 2005 (GWB)

Don't play god. That's what the boss of your hypothetical marine recommends. Conservative enough source for you?

Do you really think god is doing a good job in iraq?

While one can appreciate his desire to stand up for God, the Marine in this glurge acted contrary to Christian principals. There are better ways of dealing with nonsense than by becoming a convict.

The Marine is a chrisitian with unhealed bitterness. Maybe due to the harsh experinece he had been through. Otherwise he will obey Jesus and stay put and receive the "oppression" by the proffessor.
Anyway, God can use the Marine in order that the proffessor learned his lesson.

I'd say that's called battery, and the Marine should check what his oath is. He is supposed to protect America, a country founded largely by non-Christians. He may also belong in a mental facility if he thinks he acts for god. And he is an excellent example of Christianity at it's finest: use violence to spread the word.

I think it's an insult to our Marines, and Happykid nailed the clear and obvious point of this story.

(And of course those reading this story would presume the Marine to be a Christian. Only Christians would make up a dumb story like that, and be all proud of it.)

Then the Marine got cancer, and was run over by a bus driven by Vince Lombardi and a young Chuck Berry. On his deathbed, he said that Microsoft will give you $50 if you send a Nigerian prince one million e-mails.

There, did I get everything?

It's always the atheists and the ACLU. Funny how the ACLU actually exist to protect your right to worship and to protect your right to complain about them when they insist that the Government not dictate religion.

I think it's anti Atheist propaganda using soldiers to make people feel mushy inside and associate the soldiers' work with Christianity.
