and all have fallen short of the glory of God. Don't you know that the only way to Heaven is thru the blood of Jesus; who died for our sins and that we are saved by grace not our works?

Ah, RedQueen, I'm not of this world and this world is not my home, to quote an old hymn. I don't need to be part of the world to know what goes on in it.

I have found that most people do not want to turn their lives over to Jesus. They think they are in control of it. Another reason I have heard from many is " I will have to give this or that up, I can't live like that". " I am a good person, isn't that enough"? They do not realize how much better their lives can be. We are to humble ourselves and turn over our lives to Him. That is hard for a lot of people.

Many are entitled to this belief because they feel that all their lives on earth, they never cheat, steal, kill, covet, and are good citizens, etc. However, these are just perceived human beliefs and not from the Creator, God. Many do feel they are good and not bad. However in the eyes of God, everyone is not defined as no good or not bad but everyone has sinned against God and thus without that sin being removed by pardon of grace thru the blood of Jesus, that person will not be saved and go to heaven no matter how good that person thinks he /she is because this is human standard of measure (not God standard) and in Heaven, there cannot exist a devil-like soul and a divine God.

Yes blondie no man can earn his own salvation as if God owes any man anything. Salvation comes through the atonement God provided for his creation. Jesus himself said no man comes to the Father but through the Son. Jesus also said none is good but God.

Jesus never said that we are saved by Grace alone. In fact, that Grace would be granted only to folks who have done good works.
Everything about true Christianity as proclaimed by Jesus in anchored on our relationship with each other.
Jesus said 'Whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto me.'
Because of his love for us, Jesus died for us. In return, he ask only one thing of us.."love one another as I have loved you." When we love each other, do good works...we are doing the same for Jesus.
The bible clearly states that no matter how much we love God, all will be useless we show love to each other.

Because some religions think that is true. Some religions think goodworks is your ticket to heaven when really all you have to do is pray to God that you want Him to come into your heart and you are sorry for your sins and tell HIm that you want to join him in heaven. (You've go to mean it though). That's your ticket. Free of charge!!

some people dont realize that because before God died on the cross and paid for our sins, people had to follow the laws to be worthy to be with God in the end but since Jesus came and paid for our sins, we just have to surrender to God and believe that He is Lord God over everything. however some people still believe that they have to do good works to be "worthy" of God

I'm sorry, but that whole concept has never made sense to me, even when I was a regular churchgoer. It's saying that you can be an overall good person, but just because you don't go to church or go through the ritual of getting saved, you damned for all eternity while some dirtbag who spends his whole life doing bad things and hurting other people can repent on his deathbed and be granted paradise. Sorry, but I can't see the logic in that.

Now, if that's really what you believe, then fine.

This kind of question would certainly lead to open flaming practise for atheist.
Only children believe that ya good then ya go heaven, and those children would be around 40 - 60 by now.
Church attendees would know that committing to God is the only way to heaven.
So your question, Yes I know... Do I want to share, Yes I want, but not being flammed in yahoo qns :P

Because they believe in relative truth. Therefore anything they think or say is true. It relieves them of any responsibility and is called postmodern Liberalism.
