Quilting patterns on the ground,
few can halt to hear the sound.

Covering the land in gentle white
A silent yet magnificent beautiful sight
Some may land to grace your nose
Or be sculpted into some funny pose
Others, padded into shapes round and small
Fly up against warm cheeks and icy walls
Some land on the walkway, the morning's chore
When in heaps, keeps people in, a constant bore
Whether trouble or pleasure it bring
It's there every year (at least until spring).

Then one poked me in my eye
I cried in pain, then exclaimed,
Its not a snowflake or a feather from on high
but a sparrow's poop who got my eye!

Raindrops, also gently drop.
Glittering, as they softly plop.
The leaves, of fall.
In colors, bright.
These jewels, from God.
Sent, to delight.
Snowflakes, raindrops
Leaves, of fall.
His tiny gifts,
Divine, are all.

like compassion, they may land
upon your face, then fly again.
To carry grace and boundless love
without discretion from above.
That good and bad may finally see
That love shades all just like a tree.

Fly, fly away oh Lordie,
fly, fly away.
Then I'll sing Halleluyah by and by, I'll fly away.
