I was wondering if anyone has any good recipes that I easily prepare in the mornings before school? I only have around ten minutes to prepare a meal in the morning and I don't want to cook or prepare anything in the blender, [because we don't have one.] I would stick to cereal but my parents refuse to buy lowfat milk. [ugh.]

So anyway. Does anyone know any fast, easily prepare, tasty recipes that a thirteen year old would be interested in? And it doesn't even have to be something so complex, it can just be a piece of toast with p/b and jelly. Something simple like that.

This would be a great breakfast you are looking for. Coconut oil is very, very good for you and it can replace butter, especially if you like the flavor of coconut.

Extra virgin coconut oil contains about 50% lauric acid. This will lower your cholesterol, speed up your thyroid a little that will increase your metabolism and your hair, skin, and nails will love you for it.

Coconut oil is a saturated fat that is good for you. You hear so many people say don't eat saturated fats, but those people are ignorant. They just don't know how the body works. We all need saturated fats, but we don't need the bad saturated fats like commercial beef products you buy in the grocery store. Ever wonder why Eskimos don't get heart disease, but eat huge amounts of saturated fats? Then ask yourself why do 75% of Americans that eat all this polyunsaturated vegetable oils made of soy and canola die of heart disease?

Spread about a tablespoon of the coconut oil onto a piece of freshly toasted whole wheat bread and then spread some organic jam on top of that and it is really good tasting and good for you.

Squeeze a few oranges or other fruit and put some WHEY protein in it and you will have a great, fast breakfast that you will enjoy almost everyday.

Do not use soy products (like proteins made from soy beans) because soy slows your thyroid down and inhibits the absorption of minerals, espcially iron that will make you anemic like a lot of vegetarians.

Don't drink milk because after about 1 year old, milk is not digested well and is not that good for you. If you like milk and want a substitute, buy Keifer milk (flavored) and you will enjoy it more and your body will thank you.

The whey protein is about 98% digestible and it will keep you from getting hungry all morning.

good luck to you

i usually work out at 6am for one hour so i dont really feel hungry for breakfast but we always say "breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" so i usually eat flax's pumpkin seeds (omega 3) cereal (skim milk) with palm fulls of oats, raisins, and frozen blue berries. OR yoplait's light yogurt with pumpkin seed cereal (without milk, i dump it in yogurt) and frozen fruits. if i think i can still eat more, i usually have whole grain toast with hummus or one banana.

complex carbs in the morning - old fashioned oatmeal with egg whites or nuts and dried fruit, whole wheat sandwich with lots of veggies in it and some lean meat plus some fruit like apple or orange.
