We are to praise God in the good and the bad. How can you say He was no where to be found? Did you ever think that instead of over 40 people being killed it was only over 30? (not that that is not alot) but why do you try to blame God for the actions of Evil people? Because you need Him. That's why. belive me..He loves you. More than you or I will EVER know. He loved those people today too. And hopefully they recieved His wonderful gift of the Cross and they are all in Heaven. guess what? He even loves the killer. Love the person. Hate the sin.
I will pray for the victims families and you.
God Bless

Those so-called "christians" only label themselves as 'christians" and nothing else. "How can I believe in, or trust, a God who lets bad things happen to good people?" Even in our ignorance, we have free will, and we are obliged to use it. We are compelled, paradoxically, to make free choices. God did not make this massacre happen. The person did it out of his own free choice.
Someone may say, "Sure, that's all fine, but what about my wonderful friend
who got killed by a drunk driver, or the innocent victims of hurricanes or
floods? What "mistake" did they make?" But, even in our ignorance, we have the freedom to choose whether we will
believe in evil forces that do terrible things to "innocent victims" or an
infinite Good, freely available for our use that we only imperfectly
comprehend.
So, let's remember that "God" lets "good" stuff happen too.
To reiterate what Jesus
said, "As you believe, so it is done unto you". If we believe that "life's
a horrible and then you die"... so it is!

God's plan is for us is to choose what is good. for those who died they get to be with the God in heaven. For those who do not believe and live, is a sign that life is short and you never know when your time is up. So good and evil are prevalent in society today and we are to choose before that unknown day comes. Many people say they will wait till their death bed to reach out to God to do what they want now.
God does not condemn anyone nor does the laws of the bible. It tells what is good and holy to God. Man makes a choice in his free will to break what is good, knowing the penalty is separation from God, and therefore condemns himself. It is a pain full time for everyone and is a strong message to live every day with love and peace for it may be our last and then we stand before God to get our reward. To die is gain and unfortunately sorrow for the ones who will miss and morn them.
Jesus did no evil when he came to sacrifice himself for us.

God does not blame others for things that happen. That is the purview of mankind. How often does mankind blame others for what happened?
We are born, we die. And what happens in between those times we are accountable for. Us and us alone. No one can work out your salvation for you, but you alone. So it is our choice to do what we will.
Unfortunately, some choose to do evil. The consequence of that will be there for them. If not in this world, then in the world to come. But they will be accountable.

Really? When there is a hurricane, flood, tornado, or forest fire we call it "an act of God" but when a long overdue law passes we cheer on a group or individual saying what a wonderful accomplishment for that person. I guess its really all in you perspective isn't it?

Hey Gruz, I was wondering how long it would take some idiot to blame Christians for what happened today.
Maybe God had something to do with today. Maybe he got fed up with our crap and wanted to remind us who's in charge.

That's a good question, and one that's pretty easily answered:
Our God is a good God--He blesses us for things that we don't deserve blessings for, and gives us grace and mercy in situations where there should be none.
BECAUSE God is good, He wouldn't CAUSE bad things to happen--that is where the difference between causing something to happen and allowing something to happen comes in. Sometimes God ALLOWS situations to happen as a consequence of our own actions.
I'll use the analogy of a child and parent (because that is, after all, the relationship between God and "man")--when a parent has advised a child not to stick a fork into a plug outlet, and the child decides to disobey and do it anyway, there are consequences to that child's actions, correct? The consequence is that said child will be electricuted.
Was it the parent's fault that it happened? No, of course not--in fact, they specifically advised the child not to do it! However, the child made a CHOICE in disobeying their parent, and they suffered the consequence because of it.
Because Adam and Eve, at the beginning of time, made a CHOICE to disobey the Lord by eating the forbidden fruit, they (and we) had to suffer the consequence of that eternally. The Lord's stipulations were that 'You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.' (Genesis 3:3)
The Lord was referring to eternal death, which was originally applicable to ALL people. He also made many prophecies in the Old Testament about "things to come"; famine, destruction and death, all of which have started in different countries already. In Jeremiah 14:7-16, the Lord prophecies this: "Although our sins testify against us, O Lord, do something for the sake of your name. For our backsliding is great; we have sinned against you. O Hope of Israel, its Savior in times of distress, why are you like a stranger in the land, like a traveler who stays only a night? Why are you like a man taken by surprise, like a warrior powerless to save? You are among us, O Lord, and we bear your name; do not forsake us! This is what the Lord says about this people: "They greatly love to wander; they do not restrain their feet. So the Lord does not accept them; he will now remember their wickedness and punish them for their sins."
Then the Lord said to me, "Do not pray for the well-being of this people. Although they fast, I will not listen to their cry; though they offer burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Instead, I will destroy them with the sword, famine and plague." But I said, "Ah, Sovereign Lord, the prophets keep telling them, 'You will not see the sword or suffer famine. Indeed, I will give you lasting peace in this place.'" Then the Lord said to me, "The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds. Therefore, this is what the Lord says about the prophets who are prophesying in my name: I did not send them, yet they are saying, 'No sword or famine will touch this land.' Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine. And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them or their wives, their sons or their daughters. I will pour out on them the calamity they deserve."
Now on a different note, I also am not of the belief that everything bad that happens is a direct cause of Satan's hand. I DO, of course, believe that Satan is BEHIND all things evil, but that doesn't mean that he necessarily causes everything to happen to everyone. Unlike God, he is not omnipresent, so that would actually be impossible for him, anyway.
Be that as it may, humans are plenty capable of causing their own calamity, without the help of Satan. It's unfortunate, but true.
There is a bright side to all of this, however. When God sent his son, Jesus, to die on the cross for us, He gave us another chance to obey Him by believing that His son was/is the Savior of our souls, and accepting Him as that. When we choose to follow His plan for our lives, we can avoid having to suffer eternally for the things that have been prophesied over this earth.
I hope this helps answer your question. And I want to make sure you know, even in everything that I wrote, that I understand why you would feel what you do. It's easy to become confused when so many "confused Christians" are trying to guide everyone else into confusion alongside them.

God does everything for good but many people dont realize that because they dont trust God to take care of them. Nobody knows the plans of God so I just trust Him to do everything for good even if no one realizes it!

Those bad things are all the result of rejecting God. God is good, but when things don't line up with his will and word, bad things happen. Go ahead and vote me down, but it is the truth.

People are too primitive to be responsible for their own actions. The only blame in this or any incident is the person or people who committed it. Has anyone ever heard of free will? Its in the bible.
