No, and yes.
No, in that there's no good reason for atheists to adopt the worst practices of proselytizing religion, including the pointless interference with others in their homes or on the streets.
Yes, in that this is obviously a good time for atheists to start telling our stories and there's obviously an audience that wants to hear them. That's not the same as religious evangelizing, though.
Religion can't be stamped out; that's been tried, and it failed. Ignore it. Let it wither and die on the vine. But speak to those who've already started to look up and wipe the mist from their eyes -- they're the ones who can hear, and who need to hear.

No, you have to run up to the door, leave a flyer saying this exact statement: "i wuz knot here b4"
THEN you can ring the doorbell and run away!
I'm kidding. Do nothing, except whisper amongst your friends at school/colleagues at work and have them pass on the same message to their friends. It will spread. How do you think rumors start?

The only advantage to an atheistic religion would be the tax exempt status.
Hey... you may be on to something!

Can we present ourselves with a creepy vibe and push the home owner to let us in and speak with them about atheism?

I can promise u one thing. That if one should start such a thing then God would raise a christian counter-attack. And we shall not be moved. There would be a christian revolution such as the world has never seen. On second thought, go ahead yeah start one...
