I thought your question was genuine, So ill give ya my point of view! I have no religion so im not picking any sides, But I think most religions are an excuss for people to excape from their reality and believe in fairy tales. I might as well go find an old piece of scribled on paper and say it was jesus's.
Some people put there whole lifes into some thing they dont even know is real of course theyd be a bit edgy when another religion is saying no your wrong, were right!
But for people to belive in a religion in the first place they must not have much confidence in them selves so they have to follow Others.
But dont you think it is funny how christians are meant to be so loyal to there god and not sin! but there always the first to start sending hate mail and death threats! When an artist done his chocolate version of jesus!!! yeah im sure there dear god approved of that LOL!
GOOD LUCK sorry if this offended any one but religions have offended me too

I don't really have many questions for the R&S section but I am happy to answer questions as they scroll down the list. I don't have to be in the category to see a question that I feel I can answer. You may not like the answer because of whatever predisposition you might have. I do feel, as do many of today's authors, philosophers and speakers, that the hour is getting late, that we should move away from speaking falsely. By this I mean it is time to stand up and expose to the light of scrutiny the belief system that such a large proportion of this country subscribes to. If that results in hate, then it must be coming from charitable Christians, because I feel no such thing.

I think that there is definitely more disseminating of personal philosophies. Many people seem to be looking for someone to agree with their ideologies, others seem as though they are looking for a forum with which to discredit the beliefs of others. You find very few people looking for genuine answers.

I haven't asked a question, but I do feel a sort of passion when I answer a question. I don't hate the idea the person proposes in a question, nor do I feel any hate when someone makes a comment on my answer either...I just take it as another passionate person contributing their thoughts.
It might come across as hate on the Internet, since it's up to the reader to interpret the "tone" of the content.
I do think it's hate when someone just blatantly writes some off-color remark about one particular religion or belief, that's uncalled for and unnecessary.

There would not be so much hate if yahoo would get rid of those who are not serious but are just strife stirrers..and they stand out like sore thumbs..perhaps they might give us an ignore button..when they get a certain amount of times they lose their account. Maybe then the rest of people can focus on asking and answering questions instead of wasting our time.

I have noticed that most questions are to provoke intelligent thought from it's readers, and some questions are with the intent of having a genuine response. In short, yes.

You would think there would be less hate, considering the doctrines of the major religions. I guess religion is just such a touchy subject. Everyone feels like its a contest to prove that theirs is the most valid, but its impossible to win this argument.

A little bit of both. The questions lately have been fairly reasonable, but give it a couple of days. It seems to cycle from reason to chaos and back again every three days.

the problem is some people belive the facts others belive fary tales. They belive that some chosen people did magic things and it was an act of God. They belive things happened that are impossable, and without ever even witnessing it. So the hate comes from people like me thinking they are F*in retards.
