Oh, let me guess... "free will," or perhaps they were heathens and god acts in mysterious ways to get rid of heathens.

Where he's always been; an imaginary heaven that exists only in the minds of brainwashed sheep.

Neither the heathen thing or the free will thing....

He was at Virgina Tech, but he was also:

....someplace in the Middle East making sure one of our soldiers was able to dodge an IED

....keeping any on eye on the Jones baby who was born a little bit too soon -- making sure he takes that precious first breath --

....keeping an eye on Al Sharpton -- who's screwing stuff up left and right...ticking a bunch of people off....but Jesus loves him anyway....

...making sure that you made it made through today in one piece, so that you had the physical ability and the mental faculties to post the, "Where was Jesus When the Virginia Tech victims......" question tonight.....

.....while at the same time he was preparing a place at his table for victims at Virgina Tech, as well as the gunman, where likely the first topic of conversion would consist of him addressing the gunman, and probably went something like this:

"Son, would you mind telling these nice people what the HECK you were thinking this morning? Because we're all a little bit confused here as to why you felt that whole thing was necessary. "

...and he's probably having thousands of dinner parties like the above every single day.....

33 people died less than 24 hours ago and you want to wave it around in every ones face in some half@ss attempt to prove...what? what are you trying to prove...that God doesn't exist? He's there...mourning with the rest of America. Have some compassion for the people who mourn and try not to use their grief for your own personal gain.
If you're that bored go scratch your butt with a rake

Are you a Christian? If not, then you don't believe in Christ and should not ask where He was. I'm sorry, but I guess I expected this question to hop up at some time. Truth is, this act was committed by a young man who at the time of his crime was pure evil, nothing else. He had the choice not to do this. How do you know God wasn't there? I know He was, ready to embrace those who loved Him. Why was your question not directed at the devil? "Why, devil were you there?"
At this tragic time, we need to pray and be available to help those we can. We must turn our anger into love for others. That is the lesson learned. If we don't we are not much better than the guy who killed these innocent people. In a country that hungers to get away from God we need to learn to draw closer to Him. He wants us to. He is waiting to help us understand this sad world we live in. Start with yourself and your family. Love them and let them feel that love every day.

Learn the basics my dear friend, learn the basics. They are easier than talking this all extra intelligent stuff.

And stand in homage to Jesus and all those who died. Also pray for the recovery of those who are struggling.

We all ourselves are going to die, one day or the other, one way or the other.

I am here always. I will forgive you always. I will love you always. God will always be with you. Nonbelievers or people who make accusations to deny God will never have a place in the kingdom of heaven. God planned this event and it's very sad for us to see this happen, but in our lives, good always prevails evil, and this is the evil we must see in our lives, but good will always in the battle of good and evil.

He was, as usual, with Peter Pan, Harry Potter and Bilbo the Hobbit.

I quote John McArthur when he was part of a panel on Larry King, in discussion over the events of September 11th (9/11)

"...the Bible, the authoritative Word of God, tells us that God is absolutely sovereign; that everything that occurs, occurs within the framework of his purpose. That is not to say that God creates evil. The Bible says He does not, nor does He do evil, nor does he tempt anybody to do evil. But evil exists. It's everywhere. And God can (and does) overrule that for his own purpose. The question is, what is his purpose in this?

7,000 people die every day in America. If you're going to ask, why didn't God stop that, you have a huge question. Is God going to stop all dying? We feel more comfortable when people die one at a time than when they die in groups of hundreds or thousands, obviously. The bigger question is, why do people die? And if you're going to die, how can you be prepared for the inevitability of that death?

Jesus was asked by some people one day, they said, "a tower in Siloam fell on 18 people and killed them," and they said to Jesus, "were they worse than everybody else?" And he said, "you better repent, or you'll likewise perish."

It was a severe mercy. It was God's way of saying, look, you have grace, you enjoy life, but in the end there's death, and you need to be ready for that."

Are you ready for that?

i guess bitterness rules the day for you...do you have any concept of who Christ is? He's not some playground monitor who scurries about making sure no one gets hurt...it amazes me when atheists mock the concept of free will and, in the very next breath, accuse Christians of being 'sheep', incapable of independent thought-maybe when you're older you'll realize that people have the choice to do evil or good-something like this horrible massacre is evidence that there are those who choose to do evil-i think JFK hit the nail on the head when he said 'life is unfair'...i know where Christ was-the same place He's always been-knocking at the door to peoples' hearts...waiting to comfort all who seek His embrace-please try not to exploit the suffering of others in order to validate your own bigotry and project your own prejudices onto others...it's self-defeating and self-demeaning

Nobody ever said Jesus is supposed to keep you from getting injured or killed. That'd be sort of like saying why doesn't Buddha make you rich.

You don't come anywhere near undersanding what it's about.

He was standing with them. Everyone has an appointed time to die. He will be with the family members through their lose and with those who were injured. Hopefully, there will be an outpouring of people turning to Jesus for salvation from this horrific shooting spree.
