is that a bad thing? i interact with my grandparents more than my own parents, more because my parents annoy the hell out of me..i feel loved more by my grandparents

sometimes kids have no chioce but to spend more time with thier grandparents because your parents have to work. dont feel like you are cheating your parents , it is just the way it is. i used to deal with the same thing, my kids seemed to love thier grandparents more than me, so what i did , i s i started to pay attention to them and spend as much time with the kids as possible, it worked now they love us both equally!!!

I have heard that many kids are closer to their grandparents for many, many reasons. Here are a few:
1. Grandparents tend to spoil their grandchildren.
2. Grandparents don't have the job of punishing kids, like their parents do(That's a reason why kids and parents fight!)
3. Grandparents have learned a lot about kids from not only being one, but also raising one! They've experienced it all. They know how to treat kids.
Like I said, ur problem is common, and kids and their parents fight a lot - that's common, too. U WILL grow closer to ur parents - teen years R the hardest for kids and their parents - It's great that we have grandparents to love us and help us through the fighting.

Many times this happens. The grands are not your immediate peers, and probably more tolerant and loving than
your parents. Grandparents are a gift from God. You always know you can share with them things you could never say to another person. This is the way it should be. Stay close, and know there is nothing wrong with this. It is as it should be. This is why they are there. They must truly love you, no matter what you do or say.

Its not a bad thing since you a close to someone, probably cause you see your parents more often then your granparents. Your grandparents are there to spoil you and love you as your parents are there to tell you right from wrong. I would say most people are closer to there grandparents. If your parents would not annoy you something would be really wrong lol !!! Dont worry about it. :)

It means that you have GREAT grandparents! I was the same. In fact, I ran away my SR yr of high school to live with my grandparents. My parents forced me to come home after a month but I forced them into family therapy. My grandfather passed away 1999. My grandma is in a nursing home with altzhiemer. So sad! I would say your normal...what kid doesn't get a long with their parents?

not really grands seem to have morer patience and nurtureing then parents parents mostly are out trying to make a living and after a hard day at work they can be grumpy while grand parents just stay home and watch tv/play bingo, go to the gym every thing grand parents do is for their enjoyment don't be so hard on your parents after all both of them made you so grandparents can raise you

Sometimes it happens because grandparents are more experienced with life and understand people in general more than their parents.

pro bally cause your grandparents dint set the rules in your life, they've always been the ones who spoil you?your grandparents are not with you every day, and don't get all the crap you get when raising a child, they only get the good stuff.be good to your parents, cause one day they to will be grandparents. but i think what your experiencing is normal.take care and bee good

You're very blessed to feel closer to your g'parents. They must be doing something right in your life & feeling more loved by them, is proof positive. No, it's not a bad thing to be closer to your g'parents. Just respect your parents, nonetheless. There will always be people in your life that will annoy you. You just have to learn how to deal with them.

as for being a grandmother I tend to spoil my granddaughter alot. more than I did with my son. I feel grandparents give more and show more love than parents, not that your parents don't, so don't get me wrong. grandparents don't see their grandchildren as much as parents do so they tend to spoil them more.
