You need some antibiotics for a sinus infection.
Hot showers, as hot as you can stand (plenty of steam), will help unclog the sinuses. Try rubbing some vapor rub on your chest and across your forehead and under your nose. Lay a hot, damp cloth across your face for a few minutes.
Sometimes pseudoephedrine will help unclog the sinuses, if you don't mind the side effects (jitteryness, restlessness, and dry mouth). These are the kind you have to ask for now behind the pharmacy counter. They work for me when I have a sinus infection or severe cold.

I usually use Vicks Vapor Rub just put a little on your chest and breath through your nose as much as you can, it always seemed to help me. Also you can take a really hot bath or shower and the steam can relieve some of it too.. Good Luck and I hope you get to feeling better! :)

Wet a wash cloth in warm water and place it across your eyes. That will relieve some pressure. Get some shower soothers. They are large tablets you place in the floor of the shower. As the warm water runs over it, it melts releasing vapors that WILL open your sinuses. I use them all the time. Good luck. I know it's painful.

You have to see a doctor, the meds available over the counter just don't work. I have had 2 of those awful things and I tried everything everyone around me told me to try. No use. The doctor's got the stuff!

Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at

Go see your doctor for a prescription. The over-the-counter drugs do not work. In the meantime- take nice hot baths.
