Some men just date women to see who their friends are. It makes it easier for them to have a selection. To these dudes it takes a lot of work out of the process.

I think you answered your own question because it seems that you have already made the decision to tell him it is over, which I think is a very smart decision. No one wants to be with someone that does not love them. You will find someone that does. Good Luck!
