I'm organizing a bake sale at my school, beause I'm doing a cancer fundraiser. I've already thought of doing things like muffins, cookies, brownies, and cupcakes, but I need good recipies. Or ideas. Or really, I'm open to anything. But, there can't be any peanut butter in anything because we have some kids who are serverly allergic. So any good ideas for the recipies?

I was going to suggest puppy chow until I read about the peanut butter situation. If you do not know, puppy chow is Chex cereal with melted peanut butter and chocolate chips coated in powdered sugar (maybe you have another name for this concoction). Since it is normally packaged after preparation to avoid messes, I don't think selling puppy chow at your fund raiser would be that big of a deal. As long as the children did not eat it there, but wait until they got home, all risks of contamination should be non-existant. Another suggestion would be whoopie pies (moon pies) or cups of mud (chocolate pudding, crushed oreos, and gummy bugs). Sell some cakes whole. Parents like this idea, that way they don't have to bake for the next time they have company. For recipie ideas, just do a quick internet search. Try Taste of Home or Betty Crocker websites. Or dig out those old cookbooks from the back of the closet and put them to use. I'm sure if you have an elderly mother, grandmother, or someone of the sort, they would have a treasure-trove of special recipies that would be great for a bake sale.

You could make mini cheesecake tarts. Use a Keebler's Vanilla Wafer cookie for the crust, place that in a paper cupcake holder and pour in your cheesecake mixture. Bake 350 for 20-25 minutes. Place 3 cherries and some of the sauce from a can of Cherry Pie Filling on it when you drop it off at the school. Hope that helps.

I've found that chocolate sells best. I don't know why, but I've helped at bake sales for over 30 years and that's always been true. Chocolate brownies and cupcakes are good sellers. Good luck.

Crunch up graham crackers then mix them with warm butter (enough to make it sticky but not so it's soupy)
Press them in the bottom of a glass pan (this is the crust/like in cheesecake)
pour a can of evaporated milk even over the crust
sprinkle chocolate chips over that
then sprinkle chopped almonds on it
then sprinkle coconut on it and bake it until the top is a golden brown at 350 degrees
these are YUMMMY

I'd suggest having some slaty snacks, too, as some people (freaks) don't like sweets.
So have things like Chex Mix, chocolate-dipped Pretzel Logs, popcorn (if not sold elsewhere), or cheese popcorn (use hte packets form Mac & Cheese mixes to make it cheesy).

Just don't sell the peanut butter to the kids who are allergic to it. Every one else loves it. It's a great seller.
Go to foodnetwork.com, they have the best recipes for just about everything, plus a fan forum where you can get all kinds of questions answered.

The no-bake cookies are always a big hit. As well as the marshmellow-rice crispy ones. You can do all kinds of fun easy things with those. Good luck. Sounds yummy!!
