I am writing a paper that involves many references to the Virgin Mary and was wondering; should I capitalize the pronouns? Such as: when I am referring to Her. I want to make sure I don't offend anyone, and while I know it is standard practice when writing about Christ, I was unsure as to the practice when referring to the Virgin.

Thanks!

I don't think there's any tradition of doing that. There are very few variations of Christianity where Mary herself is divine; if you are not a member of one of those sects, I'd say keep her in lowercase and reserve captialized pronouns for deities.

i never do...i sometimes capitalize a proper name...for a paper for school, though? i would capitalize her name, but not Her-that would imply divinity, which is erroneous
