we cannot tell if this is sarcasm or a compliment because it was all about the tone in which it was said

Too me, it sound like sarcasm, I can't really tell because sarcasm and complients really depends on the voice.
The word "aren't" kind of mix things up a little.
If you restated the sentence to be a compliment, then it should have went like this:
" You ARE beautiful woman with a great personality and wouldn't all these people be looking to have you join their family"
If you restated the sentence to be sarcastic, then it should have went like this:
" Suuuuuuuuurrrree, aren't you a beautiful woman with a great personality and wouldn't all these people be looking to have you join their family"

The "Sure" part makes me think it's sarcasm, but it isn't going to translate well online because it's the tone used that makes it sarcasm or a compliment.

It depends on hoe the conversation was going before whoever said that. If you where saying something really stuck up and snotty then it is sarcasm, but if you were having boy promblems and whoever answered with this answer its a compliment. You really could take it both ways.

sarcasm is an art. it's all how it's said, and what tone of voice is use when it's said.
the line above can go either way depending how you say it. if you say it like an old lady, then it's a compliment. if you sound more like Seinfeld or Gilbert Godfrey, then it would be the latter.

It depends on the tone. That's how you really tell if the person is complimenting you or just be sarcastic. It sounds like a compliment, but I didn't hear the tone.
Sorry I didn't really help!

Matters who it came from and what conversation occurred before that was said. You should have been able to tell from the tone of the voice, eye rolling, eye contact, body gestures, crossed arms...Out of context, sounds pretty sarcastic.

It depends what the rest of the conversation was, how it was used.
