Yes. Parthenogenesis is known in bees, frogs, insects and reptiles.
It has been achieved in rabbits and mice, but not in any higher mammals. Could it happen in humans?
Probably so, however all offspring of parthenogenesis are female in most cases. In the case of bees, they are the drones or "worker bees".
"Parthenogenesis" just means "virgin birth", so believers in the Christian Nativity story are believers in human parthenogenesis.
The Parthenon, in Athens, commemorates the virgin birth of Athena. There are countless other virgin births in the ancient world of the Mediterranean.
Attis of Phrygia, for example, was born of a virgin on December 25th. In the era when Christianity was being defined, virgin birth was an essential part of the job description for any candidate to be a man-god.
Can you identify some other virgin-born personalities, in addition to Attis, Jesus and Athena?

Dionysus, Horus, Tammuz, Krishna, and Zarathustra were also born of virgins.
So virgin births were pretty common in ancient times. Probably still would be if people really believed the pregnant girls' stories.

As well as Attis, there was Osiris, Dionysus, Mithras, and a few more. As was said before, it makes it easier to promote a "new" religion, if it isn't all that far from the religion you used to follow, before you were "born again" All these guys were born of virgins, found by about three "shepherds" who followed a guiding star on or about December 25th (Summer Equinox, or whatever the "longest day" was called), all managed to "raise the dead" or "turn water into wine", were symbolised by "bread and wine", and met their untimely deaths by being crucified or hung on trees, etc. All of them managed to come back after three days. Hallelujah!
Nothing NEW in the Bible, guys....it was pretty much fabricated from the old "Mystery Schools" by that wonderful Bishop Eusebius (the spin doctor of Emperor Constantine) following the Council of Nicaea in about the year 325 when they chucked out most of the Pagan books and selected those for the New Testament using the well-researched scientific method known as "Eeny, Meeny, Miney, Moe"

Frogs, insects, etc. I can believe. But mice and rabbits? Care to attach some citations for that? As for virgin birth in humans-don't think so, not without invitro or something like that. As for the past accounts of virgin births in mythology/lore, well its easier to convince people to join a new religion if its not that different from their original.

I don't believe in the Greek gods Athena or Attis. I believe in Jesus Christ. The virgin birth wasn't parthenogenesis, it was a miracle of God's design.

Other then that yes if you had sperm on your private and it traveled up that direction It could happen its pretty rare but has happened. Also the hymen can stretch some cases and not actually break tell the baby is born. crazy but true.

I know a girl who is Christian. She concieved (spiritually) of her son when she was 16, (and yes, very virgin... she hadn't dated anyone yet) because God wanted her to know about her son for some reason years before she gave birth to him. This was in the early 1990s... anyway, your spirit is your mind, will and emotions. It is possible to "concieve" years before you give birth. I'm am NOT saying that is the way it happened with Jesus, I'm only saying this so that you can understand that it's "literally" possible as well. Also, God thinks about things differently than we do. He sees the spirit, soul and body as one.
P.S. "literally" does not necessarily mean "more real"

I am not a Christian, so....no i do not believe in it. I mean, i am sure there are some people who aren't Christian who people in it, but i just don't. It IS physically impossible. I mean, what is sex? Sex is needed to have a baby! And...well, Jesus's story is all just a legend. I am not saying it isn't true, it may just as well might be...but i can't prove that.
To answer your question, there is no one person who could answer that question truthfully. They would be telling you what they THINK, but not the TRUTH. There is a major difference here. So...in my oppinion, no there isn't. But...that is just mine, this is quite a controversal subject my friend.

Sure, humans could have 'virgin births' by implanting a clone or by a 'defective' female egg...as for any other virgin born personalities...How about EVERY FRICKIN' MYTHOLOGICAL BEGINNING DEITY EVER MADE UP?
Jesus is also not the only one to return from the dead...Its practically a prerequisite of being 'mythological.'

Parthenogenesis-virgin birth without the male material interaction...
Anakin Skywalker...
Seriously though, I don't know. This question has been debated for a long time. I don't think it will be answered.

I believe it is real because God says so.
Now, With artificial insemination it is possible for any virgin to give birth :)
Many creatures have had virgin births, and because I believe in the unlimited power of God, I see no reason why he couldn't cause this to happen in Mary.
