First off let me be the first person to tell you that absolutely no chiropractor will be able to help you once you have had a fusion done. It takes minimum of a year to 2 years to completely recover from a spinal fusion. And often what happens is the sites below and above the fused section get weak and start acting up. A TENS unit will help loosen up the muscles but don't put it on your incision. It will agitate your incision which will cuase more pain and irritation. Moist heat will also help relax the muscles as well as using ice which will numb the location which will help calm down some of the pain. Continue doing your physical therapy stretches which will help keep your muscles loose and limber.

Unfortunately you may always be in some pain as a result of your back. You will just have to learn to live with it. Also make sure to talk to your doctor about it too.

Good luck!

Doctors love to tell you it will go way, that's a way to shut you up.

Use a moist heating pad or hot towels applied to the back for twenty minutes at a time. If you can get access to a Jacuzzi that would really help your back, legs, and hips.

my other Advice is to start seeing a qualified massage therapist at least once a week. A good therapist can work out so much of your pain. And also give you advice on what to do to control it on your own.

ask your medical doctor about giving you a TENS unit to help control the pain so you do not have to take so much medical Drugs. This really helps minimize the pain.

I also recommend you see a chiropractor because they are the best at problems such as you are having. I've enclosed a link where you can find a qualified chiropractor in your area.
