It would not matter if there were a section just for Christians. If there were such a section, people such as yourself would still come there to bash Christians. Yes, this is a religion and spirituality section, and yes, it is an open forum. Likewise, all people from all sects have a right to be here.
I will say though, of all religions that post here, Christians are the ones that are persecuted and bashed the most.
What bothers me the most about this is that the ones doing the bashing cite attributes such as hatred, judgementalism, and prejudice as being attributes of Christians. This is simply not true.
One that claims to be a Christian, and displays these types of characteristics is making a false claim as to what type of person they are. Just because they claim to be a Christian, that does not mean that they are.
To be a Christian, one MUST display the attributes that Jesus Christ told us in the scriptures would accompany one of His followers. All others are cloaked as Christians, but are something else in reality.
This may anger some that claim Christianity to be what they are following, but if they search the scriptures, they will find this to be the truth.
Likewise, if atheists know as much as they claim to know about the Bible, and about how Christians are to conduct themselves, they would not claim these negative attributes to be the attributes of a Christian.

Well, I must have missed that post. It IS a Religion and Spirituality section.
If Christians want their own space, they'll need to talk to Yahoo and call it specifically Christian Forum, or something like that.
I'm Pagan, and feel quite comfortable posting my beliefs here.
"Why can't we all just get along?" : )

Wow, hold it right there! Who said it was just a Christian section? I never said that it was a Christian section, it's a religion and spirituality section. All religious questions are welcome. I agree with you on this one.

The R&S section is open to anyone, from all faiths or even in my case, nonfaith. This is for discussion of topics around R&S, not to preach.
We atheists are very interested in those topics, and curious as to peoples various beliefs, and WHY people believe such weird things. We are also here to keep everyone honest. :)

Of course it's open to anybody who's interested in religion and spirituality. When some jerk says that certain groups (like atheists) aren't allowed, I just laugh at the wretched wreck of a human...

This Christian never claimed that it was strictly for us. "Religion and Spirituality" covers a lot of different faiths, and anybody who comes here thinking otherwise just doesn't understand what this forum is all about.
Cut 'em some slack, please. They'll figure it out or leave, one of the two.

I've never once read anyone say this is a Christian section.
I do find it interesting that you are so fascinated with Christianity since you're always answering those questions.

Last time I checked, Atheism wasn't a religion. Unless they have now formed their own religous group and I missed the memo.
Plus an atheist who answers a clearly Christian question with a Christian answer is rare indeed. It's usually a sarcastic statement or an answer directly opposite of what the Bible says.
This is why people get annoyed with your answers.
Hope this answers your question.

I think because not very many other religions want to speak out. If they want to they should and i encourage that. I love hearing about other religions but one of the largest religions is Christianity.
