All the right clues, but does he like me?

I'm sure you've heard this question multiple times, but please bear with me: Does he like me?
This one guy and I have texted for months every day, talked on the phone and gone out on what would technically be called a date. But when I asked him if he liked me, he replied no, and ever since then has been updating me on who he likes. I've seen him flirt with these girls too (he's not a player). We still talk every night on the phone, and he'll flirt with me. Because I'm getting such mixed messages, I'm confused. Help?

Sounds like he may be confused too. But maybe after the two of you met, he realized you were not his type and is actually just being a friend now. Especially if he's mentioning he likes other girls. He sounds like fun, so keep him as a friend - they are just as hard to come by. Maybe he can help you find someone right for you! If a guy really wants to be with you, there will be no doubts whatsoever. He will pursue you with no end if you let him know he has a chance!

I've been in the situation countless times. It never gets any easier. He probably thinks of you as a really great friend that he can tell anything to.

While it's a bummer that he's not into you, he can be a great dating resource. He's told you which girls he likes, so see if he'll set you up with a nice guy-friend of his if you can get a girl to join you.

Double dates are fun, and after seeing him interact with someone else (or watch you all night) you'll both probably get a better idea of how he feels.

Also, you can bounce ideas off of him, like, places you can meet guys... Ask him to be your wingman one night.

He does, he just doesn't know it yet. For now it sounds like you two are just friends but with him flirting with you he sounds like he isn't sure where he wants to take this. He can count on you to always be there when he texts you or call you. And it sounds like you support him. But as of right now he's only giving you mixed signals because he's slow. If you asked what kind of girl he likes and you think it describes you then maybe he'll realize it himself. But either way he's too confused to even know what he wants. Oh, and that all depends if you like him and are trying to take things one step further.

Eeek. This is every girls nightmare!!! I'd say he probably has some degree of interest but isn't taking it too seriously. This exact same thing happened to me once, actually. He ended up asking me on a real date at one point and then never brought it up again. I think he was conflicted. Lots of young guys are. It sucks.

sounds like he's messing you around, but if this makes you feel better, a guy earlier was asking if a girl liked him because she had borrowed a piece of paper off him... at least you have a little more to go on than he did... Bless.

he may not come forward on his feelings only because he is shy or frightened about what you may say. i'd sit him down and talk about the feelings between you two, to striaghten things out.

i think that hes trying to make you jellous. i think he dose like you, or else i think he would get sick of u talking to him evry night and all. but what you u should be asking is, dose he like me as a friend, or more. and that is a question i cant anwser.
