Doesn't thinking about evolution just make the world so much more complex and amazing? What is wrong with recognizing that?

Yes. Yes, and nothing.

You are living in a dream world.

Yes, the universe is much more complex than your or I can imagine. How could this possibly come about by blind chance? How could various species that are mutually dependent (symbiotic relationship) have existed before the other "evolved"?

Evolution is impossible. Nothing builds itself. Nothing creates itself.

When you see a machine like a car, or a motorcycle, or a TV set, do you ask yourself how long it took for that object to evolve from a can opener? Of course not. And yet, the simplest animal is many times more complex than any TV set, or car, or motorcycle. How can any rational individual believe that something that we cannot create in a laboratory, came into being by accident?

Ignoring the beauty of the planet Earth, yes. Of the universe? No. Evolution has nothing to do with the universe.

Well, yes, not to put too fine a point on it. But the argument against evolution isn't "the universe is beautiful" but rather "our particular personal god did it", which is not exactly supported by the available evidence.

Mainworry, you make it sound like natural selection is a "practice makes perfect" method - it isn't. A shark isn't a worse piece of engineering than a horse just because it came first - they are just unable to take one another's roles - a horse is as bad at being an aquatic predator as a shark is at being a ground running mount, so where is the singular line to perfection?

Evolution doesn't mean there is no god - to some atheists it does, and clearly to some theists it does too as you yourself attest. But really, if your God can make the laws of physics, he can design an algorithm like natural selection, and it's a lot more impressive than just making them appear.

Some forms of evolution are true. However, God is still responsible for it. But humans and evolution? Doesn't add up. Besides evolution is just a theory. There's no solid proof and most likely never will be.

That's the great thing about science - it's only absolute until it's proven wrong. Happens time and time again.

Evolution is a hoax. We don't need to pretend that everything just came about by accident, when we can see the obvious intelligent design that was required in creating the universe and everything in it.

The reason why people ignore what science has to offer is a greater mystery than the trinity

Ignoring evolution is ignoring the tao and that's just flat out unhealthy....

Hardly, Christians do not ignore the theory of evolution, they just don't believe it is accurate.

This is similar to Christians not believing that the Earth was flat since the Bible tells us it is round.

Christians leave it to pseudo-intellectuals to put their faith in theories like the "flat Earth" or "Evolution".

Evolution and creationism could be connected.... maybe something created the basics and everything could have grown and changed from there...
