Why ? How do you know you wont end up an amputee, and you mock God?
How do you know that many things in that persons life weren't healed because of the amputee. We cannot continue to blame God for all of our human mistakes. We do have a eternal spirit that will be made whole when we meet the Lord.
This question is over done.
Jesus is Lord over all

How would healing amputees improve their character? There is something that God wants that person to learn. It's not anyone's business to judge God.

God works in many ways always for the good. Amputees may help other people and use them to tell others about him. This life is short and we shouldn't dwell in the past.

He does! Its just the church has fallen so far away from the truth, that they don't walk in power and demonstration like they did in the book of Acts! You take a small group of people that have His Spirit and are on fire and you will see amputees getting healed!!

A good question. No doubt you've been to the website below.
I agree that it's a very strong argument.
God didn't 'save' Terry Schaivo' who had millions and millions of believers praying for her. Didn't save those poor souls in New Orleans, either.
I think that regardless of your religion or lack thereof, prayer is just bunk. Doesn't the almighty know what you're thinking anyway, even if you're not on your knees with your head bowed? Prayer is just a feel-good exercise for those who choose to do it.

I would settle for Benny Hind to heal an amputee.

So we can learn to heal them ourselves. There are animals with the capability to grow back body parts, all we need to do is study how they do that and then we can come up with a cure.

He does.
That is to say ....He will.
You may want Him to do it one by one, as time goes along.
However, He chooses to go the route of 'class action'.
Everybody at the same time.
His promise:
"At that time the eyes of the blind ones will be opened, and the very ears of the deaf ones will be unstopped. At that time the lame one will climb up just as a stag does, and the tongue of the speechless one will cry out in gladness." Isaiah 35:5,6

Because amputees make Dancing With the Stars more fun to watch.
And also because he doesn't exist.

The wound does heal... we aren't a plant, our limbs can't grow back.
