I think illnesses are from Satan or at least started with him. Look at a virus. Their ONLY purpose is to make us sick. Many bacteria are good and are needed for health but virus' are evil machines wanting to attach on to us and replicate more illness! They attach to our DNA, they invade, the little devils!

Are we in the same circumstances as bible times concerning healings? Look whenever someone was healed it was instantanious. Jesus never said, 'you didn't have enough faith and when you pray long enough you will be healed'
I had a friend go see Benny Hinn for healing once. She was 'escorted' to another part of the building, not near his stage when they found out her problem. Someone else pulled her out of a wheelchair after her "healing prayer" then told her go home and if she had enough faith she'd be healed!!!
Well, she wasn't. She had enough faith to travel thousands of miles for this though, but not enough to heal her?
I think one can be healed through prayer IF it's God's will. But I don't think we have healing powers anymore. I think it was needed back in bible times "Until that which is perfect comes" it was needed now it isn't pertaining to the gospel.
My opinion of course

It is actually pretty rare for an illness to come from a demonic source.

Most illnesses are because we make bad choices in food or environment.

Spiritual healing can happen in both ways. I know a man who walked into a healing service on crutches. He'd suffered all his life from the effects of polio. He walked out without them.

I have a Protestant friend who was told she could become a vegetable at any moment. She had horrible migraines. I talked her into going to a healing mass given by a good priest I know. She was healed that night. A doubter!! but healed right there on the spot!!!

I know of several cases where the healing was gradual. This person went to a healing service. Gave their life to God and while they weren't healed, they left the service feeling better. As they continued to work God into their life, through prayer and good works, they obtained more and more healing until they were entirely cured.

I know of people who were healed while on their way TO a healing service.

I also know of many people who were not healed.

Sickness is not from the Devil... and whoever told you that needs to get an education. It is not a FACT!!!! Granted, God does have the power to heal... but sickness is a natural part of life... Not a curse from the Devil... When you drink the water in Mexico, and you get sick, is that from the Devil? NO! You get cancer, is that from the Devil?? NO!!-- It is from genetics... So please... Don't make Christians look bad with your opinions... and please don't call your opinions facts.

This is a picture of Christ and his sacrifice for us: 3He was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pains, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One from Whom men hide their faces He was despised, and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him.

4Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy].(B)

5But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.
That sacrifice included our healing. When Jesus was here, he spent much of his time, healing the sick.
Since Jesus only did what he "saw his father do" and always performed the "perfect will of God", then It is God's will that we be saved and healed.
As for the other question, some healing is instant, and some is slower.

Sickness comes from the fallen nature of man. I have seen instantaneous healing and healing that took years.

This world only exists as Gods best way to create the next world in heaven. This next creation requirers suffering to bring us to God.

We all have unlimited healing powers to work with since God has created us through thought, and Christ live with in us. Through Jesus Christ, PRAYER, the unlimited power comes from God...... through thought. We are made in the image of God, therefore we can create healing energies through thought and prayers in the name of Jesus. Sometimes it works instantly, and other times a day or two. AND sometimes it takes longer, just don't give up, be sincere, and prayers that are heart felt work faster usually. Show the Lord you have the faith in him when you do this, it works, I don't it through faith that the power come from within us through Jesus Christ.

Ok why would God give the power to make people sick to the devil? That makes no sense. God permits the devil to make us sick , so that we call on God to make us better . Does God need a middleman? Or maybe its not a God and devil thing at all

I have seen it both ways, something it is instant, and some times it is gradual, and some times it is through science, and medicine.

God works in miraculous ways.

I was diagnosed with polio, in 1947, and yet in the 1960's I was on the high school track, and wrestling teams.

I believe your healing can be both gradual or instant. I also believe that God gave us doctors & knowledge.

I had psoriasis for 20 years....Doctors say it's incurable. Don't have it anymore. Miracle? Yes!!!

A flu shot contains the same type of bacteria as the actual flu.

If the devil caused that bacteria, he did a pretty weird job.
