All cats sleep a lot, there's nothing with them. My cat sleeps most of the day and at night she waits in the living room for me to go to bed, then she jumps up on the bed and sleeps until about 4 A.M. then makes noise for me get up, when she sees me awake, shes happy & goes back for a cat-nap.unless it's a kitten they usually plays more, an older cat sleeps more.

Cats, are rarely in a deep sleep, hence the term 'cat-nap'. If you walk into a room where you think the cat is sleeping, watch its ears. They usually move or twitch to determine what is happening, who is moving or if they are being approached. They will do this for the better part of a day, stirring occasionally for a litter box run or to get something to eat. Don't be fooled though, they are seldom in a deep sleep.

Cats sleep alot out of boredom. Nothing else to do. If they are behaving normally then there isn't anything to worry about. Cats like to lay around all day and run around all night. Just like some people.

Cats sleep on average 15-20 hours a day. That's normal for them! Curl up with yours and take a nap...good excuse!

I think you'll find they're more active at night - cat's are nocturnal. They sleep when you're awake and vice versa.
