For the past 2 months I've been eating a small whole bagel with Philly light (1/3 less fat) cream cheese in the morning. Its the only thing that fills me up until lunch time. Is is bad to eat this everyday?

I like to eat the same thing over and over, too.

If you exercise a lot and burn off carbs, I would think it is okay, in terms of not gaining weight.

However, I think it is high on the glycemic index of high carb/sugar content to eat bagels. I think unless you balance it with protein, it might encourage you to develop diabetes later in life.

Light cream cheese is good.

I would maybe alternate that with oatmeal and fruit or maybe an egg too.

Just my opinion.

well its high in carbs but if you get a high fibre one like everything bagel its not soo bad. Its not bad I would say its on the healthyier side of things, the cheese is protein so it will carry you throughout your day. Also peanut butter is high in protein too and low carb so its all good.

as long as you get some exercise, it's not bad. too much hype about this is bad, that is bad, etc.. moderation and exercise are the key. if you were eating three bagels slathered with cheese every morning, that would be a problem. one bagel? not a problem.

Yes, cream cheese is really unhealthy.
I'd say no more than 2-3 times a week.

You could have maybe a banana, a granola bar and maybe some cereal for breakfast and that should fill you up.

Yes, cream cheese is extremely fattening. Plain bagel would be better no butter or maybe with jam?

I think its good you should eat a wheat bagel i personally like the raisan bran flavor....you have whole grain and calcium!!!!

yes, unless its a whole wheat bagel. my guess is it contains a little over 300cal. you need some complex carbs for breakfast - whole wheat, old fashioned oatmeal, fruit etc.
