Im 16, 5"10 height, 150 pounds, according to the BMI scale im in the healthy range, but I have a "belly" on me and I would like to make it go away. My arms and legs are pretty skinny, I was thinking of trying counting calories, but I read that it could stun my growth, I would like to know what I can do to loose 5-10 pounds and stay healthy.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter your stats and it will tell you how many calories a day you need to maintain your weight. take 300-400calories off that number and that's how much you need to lose weight.
eat 5-6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones.
5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day.
8 glasses of water a day.
4-6 times a week cardio work out for 30-50min plus light weight training.
no junk food, no sodas, no white flour (white bread, pasta, cookies, cakes etc)

Make sure you are eating enough calories and grams of protein per day, or you are going to have health problems. The calories should be calculated based on your daily workout, activities, age, and weather or not if you are still growing (i.e. do you want to be a fat shortie, skinny shortie, or a model like taller skinny babe?)

ab crunches. Work on your abs.

No matter what your diet or other exercises you do, your fat is burned all over your body, it won't fall off your belly, even if you do a christina richie diet, your belly won't be "big" you'll just have a layer of flab there.

You need to work on the abs/gut and lean that area out, with whatever other diet work out regime you do.

Although other people will probably suggest this, i'd say talking to your doctor about this.

But if that falls through a variety of foods, plus regular exercise always works.

just stay active with sports and activities. you are young enough that your metabolism is still gonna be pretty high. at 16, exercise is just as important if not more than your diet

Do crunches and join a swimteam, you're tall so you'd probably look great after swimming all summer, you'd look very lean and toned.
