Tit for Tat? Is there something the church can do for these organizations if they donate? Maybe free advertising on the back of the weekly bulletin for a set number of years or forever. How about naming the rooms in this new building after the corporation or name them after the people from these corporations? Just some thoughts.
Peace, Love, and Blessings,

I think that a good way to raise money would be to raffle off prizes. My church did this one time, but we had to hold the drawing of the raffle off the church site because our pastor said that a raffle is like gambling or something. But here is my suggestion: If your church were to buy all 3 of the new video game systems ( Nintendo Wii, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360) and ask for permission from the principal at local schools to sell raffle tickets for a drawing to win a new video game system because you are trying to raise money for your church. Make sure that it gets announced over the intercom at the school too.
Also, you should give the students the choice of choosing a separate raffle ticket to win a separate console, because certain people don't want an Xbox, because they may already have it, or because they want a Playstation 3.
If you did this, I'm sure that you would raise thousands of dollars because there are many highschool and middle school students that want one of the new game consoles, but they can't afford it at the time. Also, maybe the church could donate a small percentage of the money that the church raises from the raffle to the schools sports program or something. I think it's a brillant idea. If a school has about 600 male students, I can almost confirm that they will all want to buy multiple raffle tickets.
Good luck with the church project.

First of all, I think you should start any major project with LOTS of prayer. Then, you could try some sort of fundraiser. I know at my church we have nice dinners or some sort of show that will bring in money and also let those contributing have a good time. Hope the building project goes well! God bless!

It never hurts to research the politicians who are of your faith. There are many lists for sale on these politicians. Go to the library and ask them to help you get a list. Politicians love hearing about these. Remember, Politicians are big like Governers, Mayors, but also include county treasurer, sherriff, tax assessor, district #7 representative, and transportation.
Also local news broadcasters. With 5 degrees of separation someone in your parish should have a friend of a friend who knows a local news personality. Additionally, there is the Local station (Denver is channel 8) which has feel good shows about the military, laws, city council meetings.
Lastly, writing a form letter and send it to your favorite celebrities with whom you feel have value to your faith and morals.

Since religion is a business that sells faith, I hope they pay you well.
Ask the priests for some of their money. Even the uncounted for cash they make at bingo games, too.Just tell the parishioners the more money they cough up, the closer they will be to heaven. You know, what the church has been selling for years. Of course, you could make the kids work. That's a tried & true method to line the churches pockets, and it's ALL profit.

My parish church was rebuilt on donations from the congregation, not major contributors, we did our own fund raising for over 10 years.

I work with a company that gives non-profit organizations the opportunity to earn a residual income by encouraging people to switch their shopping habits to a store that sells naturally based alternatives to what you buy at your local store. You could earn hundreds and up to thousands of dollars per month through this program.

God helps those that helps themselves. You should PRAY for money to build God's home. If he is real, Im sure he will oblige.... after all, its for a good purpose, not a selfish one...
Of course, youre still gonna go get money from those that actually exist....but you'll never admit WHY.

a new building program is for the congregation to support, not major givers.
it should be a point of pride, for the congregation, not a few big givers, that can brag about how they built your building for you.
