I want to dye my hair ( I really want to test out different colors and see what works best) However, my hair is dark dark brown (many times mistaken for black) and I was wondering if I used the Manic Panic Bleach Kit, is that permanent? Or is it washable? I know, stupid question. But that would be really ridiculous if the dye washed out and the bleach didn't.
Thanks in advance!
P.S. I want to dye my hair turquoise.

yes, the bleaching will remove the color from your hair permanently...manic panic is semi-permanent, so a little is gonna come out every time u wash your hair (that means take care, because it will stain towels, clothing, etc.)...if u intend for the color to be quite bright, you`re gonna hafta bleach your hair very light or even white (my hair is very dark brown, like yours)...manic panic is good, however, there`s another one which in my opinion is possibly better...the brand is called "special effects" & u can usually find it at hot topic stores...it is also semi-permanent, but seems to last longer than manic panic...i used the atomic pink color of theirs to dye my hair 2 months ago, & it is still a vibrant, shocking pink!!! good luck!!!

Here is the deal with Manic Panic. It is a direct dye. Meaning what ever it touches that is light enough to see the color on it will color. (Clothes, towels etc.) You would have to bleach out the sections very, very pale for any shade of green, blue or turquoise. Since your hair is so dark that is going to be a big deal. If you only wanted say a red color you should not lighten as much. You would only have to lighten your hair to an orange color to get the best result. If I were you I would get a cheap colored hair extension and wear it for a few days and see if you really like it. If you do, at least have the bleaching done professionally. They will put it exactly where you want it and make sure you get light enough. When it starts to fade at home, which is going to happen very quickly. You can re- apply the color at home. Just that part is super messy.

ahhh! i have black hair as well. and i just bleached my hair with regular bleach, and then used manic panic purple hair dye. all of the manic panic color hair dye is semi-permanent, so it'll wash out gradually everytime you take a shower. ive only had my streaks in for about 2 weeks and its gone from purple to the blonde from the bleach. but the manic panic BLEACH kit is permanent, the color hair dye however, isnt. :)

The bleach kit bleaches your hair..I used it to put blue in my hair. It stays for a while, but it also helps keep the bright color in there, too.
Any Manic Panic color works well, too! (Trust me; I've used purple, green, pink, blue, dark blue and purple again.)
