Yuck! Euthrophic lakes have a large BOD, which drags down the dissolved O2 levels. If there were diverse species in the lake, the species that can cope with low O2 will continue to exist. Aestically, the survivors in such a lake are pretty low life stuff like catfish and other undesirable representatives of other flora and fauna.
