Regrettably it seems to me that Islam is being used as a "cover" for terrorism. Those "Insurgents" in Iraq are fighting a cowardly war against the people of Iraq who want peace with no religious domination.
Unfortunately "Sunni" and "Shia" Muslims are killing each other! Why has the Golden Shrine in Samarra not been restored? That Shia shrine was destroyed by "insurgents" - also Muslims!

Nice job repeating the propaganda of the liberal media. But I have studied the Quran in a 400 level college class before along with research ever since. I found Islam to be a very dogmatic, ungodly, oppressive, violent, chauvinistic, arab, dishonest, anti-Christ, anti-social, facist, rigid, unhealthy, unbeneficial religion.

Quran Surah IX:29 Fight against such of those who have been given the scripture (Christians and Jews) as believe not in Allah nor the last day, and forbid not that which Allah hath forbidden by his messenger, and follow not the religion of truth until they pay the tribute readily being brought low.

In the Qur'an 47:4, it says, "When you encounter the infidels, strike off their heads till you've made a great smote among them." And again,

2:193, "Fight therefore against them until the only worship be that of Allah."

That is really the defining characteristic of the Quran and Muhammads life itself; IT INCITES VIOLENCE and oppression. It teaches that violence and oppression against people that dont believe as you is a good and holy thing. That is why, sad to say, that most Muslims turn a blind eye to violence or secretly root for people like Osama Bin Ladin because they are committing the acts of violence their religion calls for but they themselves are not willing to do, especially after tasting of the prosperity of western civilization.

But unfortunately some people are so thick headed they could meet the NICEST person in teh world, find oput their muslim, and STILL think they all are evil.

i agree with you. islam is the religion of peace. how can they call a muslims who fight and defend their religion, country, family and dignity a terrorist and how can they call a christians in america or jewish who kill thousand of innocent people in iraq, palestine, and ect, a hero?

just like what happen in +50 years ago when america attack higashi and hiroshima in japan and killed thousands of innocent people just because of revenge? the nuclear effects in japan still can be seen nowadays.

if anyone want to compare the number of people who killed in 11/9 tragedy, you should compare it with the number of people who got killed in iraq and palestine everyday. the number of womans, kids and old man who got killed everyday by christians and jewish?

about veil or cover, it is the prove that islam respect woman. islam shows that how important for a woman to take care of their dignity. the number of sexual crimes (sexual harrassment, rape and ect ect), is much lower in islamic country other than non islamic country.
