I am so tired of that question I find it difficult to enter this category. There should be a law, if you can't think of a name for your own dog, you can't have one.........................

I am glad to see people looking for different names. I had begun to wonder what happened to people's imaginations when I ended up with 7 Baileys, 4 Skylars, a ton of Tias and the Missys on my groom client list and 4 Baileys, 6 Hunters, 5 Tanners and 6 Coopers in various Puppy Kindergartens. I finally decided after seeing that question repeated forever that it wasn't the imagination it was the bombardment of similar names that was interfering with folks finding something original for their new pets. I don't always answer them, because some people put great lists down with a wide assortment of names. I do however, completely understand why it has become difficult to find anything original and why you might want to tap an anonymous source.

I think if that was the worse question that was asked in this section dogs would be better off but unfortunately I see the questions asking "what should I do with my sick dog he is bleeding/ can't walk /or has had diarrhea for days" GRRRRR, Those make me want to punch someone!!

We shouldn't ban these questions! That'd leave more room for the REALLY awful questions like

'My dog is dying in a pool of blood - any suggestions?'
'I think my dog has rabies/pyometra/parvo. Any home remedies?'
'If I dip my dog in garlic twice daily will he be immune to all illnesses?'
'My cat has broken his leg/neck/back. I don't have money for the vet. Can anyone tell me how to do the surgery?'

See, there are much worse questions! Be THANKFUL for people asking for name help!

No. I understand that it may be hard to name your dog. Some people may become desperate and resort to the Internet for suggestions. So I, personally, don't see anything wrong with that.
Though in personal experience, we had no trouble naming our puppy. =)

I used to flag people like that all the time for chatting, but now that option is gone. However, I still do it from time to time, just mentioning that the post is "chatting" in the comments box.

You might as well read the guidelines if you really want to take someone down. There's probably some ammunition in there you can use.

If you dont' like a question, you don't have to answer it. It is a legitimate question and should not be banned. Maybe a question like the one you asked should be banned.

It's just as much their right to ask as it is for you to skip over the question. No matter how stupid questions may be, a dumb one is better than some of the other spammish sounding ones drifting around.

I know a great way to prevent this. Don't go in here!

Technically, it's "chatting", which is prohibited. Report the questions to get them removed.
