I've been doing that since the seventies. But I think we'll get past the Iranain and North Korean nuke issues. We'll even get past Al Qaeda. What we won't get past is the loss of the Himalaya glaciers which supply water for 1/4 of the world's population. If the Himalya glaciers continue to recede at current rates they will be gone by 2035. Guess which nuclear powers that affects? What do you think they will do when mass starvations begin?

If a nuclear war ever did break out, which isn't likely on the level you're thinking... you wouldn't have a chance. Most of the nuclear weapons out now are enough to destroy the planet several times over at such a level of deployment, i.e. MAD (mutually assured destruction). Even if you did survive the initial blast (ground or airburst), firestorm and radiation, the further radiation poisoning and theoretical after-effects would further reduce your ability to survive, from improbable to impossible.

Add to that that there are nutty survivalists who would probably be way more prepared than you could even imagine to prepare for and would likely take over what was left.

Thanks but in an all out nuclear attack, I'm dancing in the shadow of the mushroom cloud.

Such a war is unlikely though... more likely would be a terrorist nuclear attack, which would be more localized and survivable if you're far enough away from the blast zone, and any ensuing firestorms plus radiation.

Many people and some Christian religions believe it's a good idea to to have emergency stockpiles ready for any kind of disaster. I don't trust the Bush administration but I would be careful about relying on Al Jazeera for accurate information.

I don't think anything happens because these two countries (governments) need each other more than they admit. It make the impression of a couple that are permanently fighting but never divorce because they cannot live with or without each other. At the end they'll make a deal.

No, Iran is not a threat to us here in the United States. We have both a continent and an ocean separating us, and Iran has yet to demonstrate that they have long range nuclear weapons. Others, including Russia, have a long way to go to get to us. But that assumes that before we attack Iran, Bush is smart enough to pull troops out of Iraq and... aww, dammit... we're doomed!

That's funny, I have thought about these same things and more. Not just because of this, but have you seen the racial tensions lately? Especially with the whole Imus thing? Between being on the verge of war...a very near pending racial war, and people just plain going KOO KOO, I feel the same way. I know it may sound extreme and paranoid, and not something I would discuss wioth my friends, because they would think I have gone off the deep end, but I do agree with you. I tis time to start thinking about ALL these things.

,Living in the South Pacific, I am not concerned about a nuclear or biological attack on the United States. In fact, I couldn't care less if Americans and Muslim's, killed one another.

I'm expecting war and the fall of the USA sooner or later. I'm prayed up and that's the only preparation that I need. God will provide the rest.

Even if this was to turn into a World War 3, I and all the Christians wont have anything to really worry about.
We know where we are going when we die.

Do you?
