I had this crazy idea, how many of you guys would rather go to a laundromat that is also a coffe shop rather than spending money at a stand alone laundromat? Question would also apply to a stand alone coffeshop. What would you like to see in a place like this?

That might be nice for those of us who have to go to the laundromat early in the morning! A little coffee fix is always good.

Good luck!

I have a combination cyber cafe/laundromat/small store on the corner by my house. While it doesn't do great, I think that has more to do with the fact they're very religious so they are closed on Sundays. A typical "OMGs!! The laundry!" day in a college town.

I used to go there fairly often because I could surf the net for free for x amount of minutes while I waited for my wash. Now that a friend bought a washer and dryer, I go over there to do my laundry and stay home for my surfing and research. If they had served coffee shop type snacks I'd probably still be going there! I think it's a fabulous idea.

Actually this is a good idea, I remember years ago when I first got married I had to use the laundromat across the road it was called Soap and Suds or something like that, they had snacks and a little bar type thing in there. It was pretty cool.

In a stand alone coffee shop, I'd like to see reasonable prices, flavor variety, S/M/L instead of weird names, and a nice selection of pastries.

If my washer broke and that laundromat was nearby, then yes. Or for washing comforters. Get a liquor license and it'll be even better. There's a laundromat in Iowa called Suds 'N Duds. You can have a beer and play arcade games and shoot pool while waiting for your laundry. Very clean place and well maintained and staffed. Not a place where you worry about getting mugged while reading a book while the laundry dries.

Nope, not me. Of course, I don't go to a laundromat at all. When I was young and needed to, I hated people that spilled soda from the machines on the folding tables. Not a bad idea, if you had a separate area for laundry and coffee shop. Latte and bleach do not mix well for a a nice smell.

I think it's a great idea and yes I would go if I didn't have a washer and dryer at home.
