The writers of the new testament wrote all that bullshiit. The whole of christianity is nothing but pure bunk. They live in such a 'make believe' world with their dillusional crap and are constantly bombarding the airwaves with it. I spend entirely too much time switching stations and channels just to get away from it.

In the book of Luke, we read about a certain suffering that Jesus went through in the Garden of Gethsemane, before his crucifixion. From the 22nd chapter, we read about Christ praying to the Father in an hour of great anguish:
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: and his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
Unfortunately, this episode is not fully explained in the text. It is apparent that Jesus was going through extreme pain or pressure, which caused him to bleed from every pore like sweat.
In the Book of Mormon, the prophet Alma prophesies about the Lord's suffering:
11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people. (Alma 7:11)
This idea is in fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy, quoted in Matt. 8:17,
17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.
These scriptures, along with others seem to indicate that Jesus would endure additional suffering besides what he felt on the cross.

Read Is 53:1-6. Sin is the cause of all the sickness, injury, and disease in the world. If Jesus took all the sin upon Him then He took the products of sin upon Himself.

“And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? that is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46).
In those awful moments, Jesus was expressing His feelings of abandonment as God placed the sins of the world on Him – and because of that had to “turn away” from Jesus. As Jesus was feeling that weight of sin, He was experiencing separation from God for the only time in all of eternity. It was at this time that 2 Corinthians 5:21 occurred, “God made Him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” Jesus became sin for us, so He felt the loneliness and abandonment that sin always produces, except that in His case, it was not His sin – it was ours.

Isaiah 53: 3-12 3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.
8 He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken.
9 And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
12 Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he hath poured out his soul unto death: and he was numbered with the transgressors; and he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
Luke 22: 39 And he came out, and went, as he was wont, to the mount of Olives; and his disciples also followed him.
40 And when he was at the place, he said unto them, Pray that ye enter not into temptation.
41 And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed,
42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
43 And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.
44 And being in an agony he prayed more earnestly: band his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling down to the ground.
This last one is about the atonement, or if you break it down, it says at-one-ment. This is where he atoned for the sins of the world. All of us, past, present and future. If you know much about the human body, the only way to sweat blood is under extreme direst. Most people would die if they were to sweat blood. His death on the cross was only part of a whole picture. His pain in the Garden was much more for our sins then the cross was. Him dying on the cross, and being resurrected is what allows us to live again. His suffering in the Garden is what brought about the ability for us to repent of our sins.
