I don't realy give much thought to it, but essentially it refers to a person who (genuinely) thinks that he believes in all of the following:-
1. A coule of thousand years ago, a man was born to a
virgin with no biological father being involved.
2. That same fatherless man called out to a friend called
Lazarus, who had been dead long enough to stink, and
Lazarus promptly came back to life
3. The fatherless man himself came alive after being dead
and buried for three days
4. Forty day later, the fatherless man went up on top of a
hill and then disappeared bodily into the sky.
5. If you murmur thoughts privately in your head, the
fatherless man, and his "father" (who is also himself) will
hear your thoughts and may act upon them. He is
simultaneously able to hear the thoughts of everybody
else in the world.
6. If you do something bad, or something good, the same
fatherless man sees all, even if nobody else does.
You may be rewarded or punished accordingly, including
after your death.
7. The fatherless man's virgin mother never really died,
but "ascended" bodily into heaven.
8. Bread and wine, if it is "blessed" by a priest (who must
have testicles), "become" the body and the blood of
the fatherless man.
There's a lot more, which should be critically acclaimed by an objective anthropologist on fieldwork, but let's leave it there for the time being, shall we?

I don't think too much about it, only two thousand years or so of hatred, bigotry, murder, religious wars in the name of Christ and of a great church in Rome that forced their religion on every country (except for one or two) with arms, interdiction, and other means of wickedness. I think of witch trials, burning people at the stake, cutting heads off and a few other things that are not that much trouble.

Someone who believes in Christian doctrine. I try not to judge people without knowing them, but I do have to say, I have a bit of trepidation, as I have been buttonholed uncomfortably more than once.

Nothing much comes to mind. Really. Delusion, maybe. Of course, they say the same about us.
