So my mother dragged me to Church on Easter sunday and before the service they played this beautiful song that I'd love to hear again. I forgot most of it but it was English but the part that really stood out was in Latin:

Hosanna, filio David,
Hosanna, in altissimis.

Anybody know the name of this song?

My father was raised Catholic so I've heard the Mass before with Hosanna in it.

I was intrigued because this song was sung in a Baptist church in part English part Latin.

There are many based on the Hosanna:

Hosanna, Hosanna filio David.
Benedictus qui venit in nomine Domini.
Hosanna, Hosanna in excelsis.
Amen.

Hosanna, Hosanna to the son of David.
Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
Hosanna, Hosanna in the highest.
Amen.
