My experience was the same as Father K except I was Baptized at eight days old on 28FEB1951 in the Moravian Church. After serving the Moravian church for 50 years, 25 as a minister, I converted to Catholicism and became a priest.

I was about 11 years old and It was my first time going to church. I didn't know where to go or what to do. I looked at all the kids there and realized they were so happy. I wanted to be happy like them. I got a new testament that day. I went home and read some of it. I am pretty sure I became a christian through reading the bible or it was god speaking to me. either way I love JESUS CHRIST.

It happened to me after my accident. I was a devout atheist, prayed every night to Richard Dawkins, celebrated around my Xmas tree with the little Darwin doll on top, the whole nine yards.
Then I went skydiving, and my parachute didn't open. I fell 4500 feet and landed right on a concrete parking lot. I was killed instantly, and there was very little left of my body. The doctors all said I would never recover, but I prayed to Jesus, and made a miraculous complete recovery. Praise the Lord! Oh, and I received $100 in the mail too.

I was eating lunch in the cafe across the street when I noticed a tall darkish-skinned man with curly hair - one of those middle-eastern types - wearing long white robes. I had seen Jedi the night before on the TV, so I remember thinking to myself "now there's a fanboy!" Then he walked into the synagogue and a few seconds later all hell breaks loose. The guy was rolling guys out into the street and tossing bags of money after them. Never seen nothin' like it in my life, your honor. So anyway, I hear him say something about "...out of my father's house" or something like that - like I says I was across the street - and these guys gather up their money and run off. I finished my lunch and headed back to work, so I can't say what happened after that. But the fella I saw was the defendant. I'm sure of that.

I used to work as a Supervisor at a sign company. One of the employees was a Christian, and always listened to the Gospel stations. Even though I believed Jesus had died for my sins, I had not accepted Him in my life. I made fun of the employee who had. He invited me to church often. I declined often. Then one day an old lady walked into the shop, and asked me about signs. As I was helping her out, the topic turned to Jesus. She asked if I was saved, I said not yet. She asked if I had ever heard of a book called Divine Revelations of Hell, a book about souls being tormented in Hell for sins on Earth. I said no, and she told me where i could buy it. She then said she needed to get something from her car and asked me to follow her outside to help. As she left, I followed right behind her. When we got outside, she was gone. No sign of her anywhere. I bought the book, realized that God had sent me a messenger, and turned my life over to Christ immediately! That was 10 years ago. Praise the Lord God Almighty! I have been saved By His Grace and Mercy having believed in the Word of God and His Christ Jesus Amen!

I used to be an atheist. Life really fell apart and became unlivable due to the choices I had made. After I started praying honest good prayers, God started responding in a huge way proving himself without a doubt.
But if anyone is as thick-headed as I was, then they will have to hit rock bottom before they realize that this life isnt all about them. Thats what it took for me. What did it take for you?

Let's see....Jesus died on the Cross. Rose again. I was Baptized into his death on October 22, 1963. I was six years old. That's pretty much it. I did nothing. Christ paid it all.
Romans 6:3 Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? 4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

I got divorced and left church. After 10 years I had a heart attack and my thinking changed. I am still alive and have another chance with my life. I went back to church and my priest believes Jesus brought me back. I have been back over a year now and I believe I am doing so well because I have let Jesus back into my life. Jesus never left me. I came back to him and he is awesome. Thanks great question.
