i afraid even as a chef i think its more delia smith than heston blumantile i would donate it to the local charity shop before it gose in the kitchen cupboard with the rest of the pasta makers bread makers and ice cream machines we buy and get as gift we say were gonna use and never do . make a good antique later in life for the kids lol

Before using for the first time soak it in cold water for 10 minutes or so. They get better with use. You can bake chicken in it beautifully. It turns out crisp on the outside but lovely and moist on the inside. Baked potatoes are also good. In fact just use it like a roasting pan but don't put it on the hob. Also when roasting in it put the brick with the meat into a cold oven and let it come to temperature as the oven rises

Seriously, is it a chicken baker; you know, where the chicken is baked in the brick? Very trendy about 30 years ago!

It gives recipies that have bread in it a much better earthier flavour (such as pizza's) or corn meal products (such as tortillos). Just bake on it and see!
